One Love Ministries began in 2006 with a small group of college students, along with Waxer and Cindy Tipton, the “old couple” of the group, who were in their thirties at the time. We came together from many different backgrounds, ethnicities and experiences, but with one major thing in common, we knew that there was a God in heaven who loved us and we wanted to help others know him - through the s
tudy of his word, and experience his love - through worship and fellowship. We did not set out to build a major church, but to just teach God’s word and be faithful with whomever God brought our way. Today we are so blessed and amazed at the wonderful people that God has brought together to make up One Love Ministries. We still come from hugely diverse backgrounds and experiences, but our common goal – knowing God and desiring to make him known – bonds us together. We desire to impact the world with God’s love, beginning in our own backyard and then throughout the world. We are not a perfect church, because we are made up of imperfect people, but we serve a perfect God who is continually at work in and around us.
