Morning dear saints!
Have a blessed Memorial Day! We remember today those who laid down their lives for others and pray for their families.
I want to say thank you to everyone who came early and left late to help with setting up the fellowship hall for Pentecost celebration.
Special thanks to Dick and Mary for leading the way!
Everything looked beautiful and worthy of Jesus. It was truly a celebration of the Gift in the face of the Holy Spirit which we all have. We had so many wonderful guests both from Miami and Homestead. I believe our Lord desires to see at HMC a worship similar to what we have experienced last night where the major language of fellowship is Jesus’ love, when He is at the center and we love the diversity with which He created us all.
Let’s continue believing and praying, “Holy Spirit, You are welcome here at HMC. Please, have your way. Forgive us if and when we have grieved you by our pride, by unwholesome words and attitudes; when we looked down on people, mistreated one another, misjudged ourselves and others. We offer ourselves to you as a living sacrifice for your service. We welcome you in our hearts, in our families, in our prayer closets, at our work places, and wherever you will lead us this week. Help us to touch the broken, heal the wounded, encourage those who have fallen. Fill us so we may with boldness proclaim the good news. May Jesus Christ be lifted up and focused upon. We ask these things in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
