Philippians 2:1-13
Paul says something that can easily be misunderstood: “Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” Paul does not say: Work for your salvation. He says: Work out your salvation. In other words, exercise your salvation. God’s salvation must begin to show itself through us. If Christ is within us, eventually Christ should become visible in the way we live. His humility should become visible. His compassion should become visible. His forgiveness should become visible. His generosity should become visible. His love should become visible through us.
