Wonderful Church Community!!

The stream for the service wasn't working right when announcements were made so here's some important info!!

We have a member who works with a community that has in the past gotten backpacks and supplies from a church they were partnering with for a back to school picnic THIS SATURDAY.

The church let them know WEDNESDAY that they wouldn't be doing it this year.

If anyone would be interested in donating school supplies or backpacks, we are trying to meet the need for 25 kids, ages Kindergarten through 12th grade.

FCC has already started some backpacks but there are 25 kids in this community.

The other thing the previous church did, was provide a set of shoes to each kid. If anyone is interested in helping in that way, we can either buy shoes or gift cards to Meijer/Walmart.

The Burton's are heading up the collection of supplies and/or funds to buy the supplies by end of the day on Wednesday. If interested, call or text Jessica at 517-755-7975 or email the office!

We are heading out of town on Thursday morning so anything we can pull together before Wednesday night would be wonderful.

A reminder!

Sunday July 12th we will be worshipping at 10:30 am, outside of 469 N Hagadorn Rd, East Lansing, weather permitting.

This is to make sure there is enough time for those taking kids to MS/HS Camp to still attend.

If it is raining, we will be in the Community Room for worship.

Rev Carolynn Miller is guest preaching.

Afterwards there is a presentation to the congregation regarding our strategic plan that has been adopted by the Joint Councils. There isn't a vote about this, it's just a chance for the congregation to get more information and to ask questions. This will take place in the Community Room regardless of the weather.
