Reformed Community Church Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of Reformed Community Church based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. Scripture is true.

All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines to the glory of the Living God! The Basics
God is a triunity (Trinity) of persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is infinite, holy, and love. Jesus Christ is the Messiah, Savior, and Lord. Salvation is a gift of God to those wo believe. The Holy Spirit is our divine Comforter, Convictor, and Transformer. Th

e Church is the community of believers. How We Do Church
Our church government is representative. Our leaders are elders who pastor God’s people. We have two sacraments, baptism (infant and believer’s) and the Lord’s Supper. We are independent: we belong to no denomination. How We Do Worship
Worship is the most important thing we do. Our aim in worship is to glorify God. Our worship consists of the Word of God read, preached, sung, prayed and displayed in the sacraments. We read systematically and preach expositorily through books of the Bible. We sing songs and hymns rooted in God’s word. We are committed to a full diet of biblical prayer: praise, confession, thanksgiving, and intercession. Our gatherings for worship are on the Lord’s Day. We administer the Lord’s Supper weekly.

The ultimate hope of heaven is that we will be with Christ. We will be with the Father in the fellowship of the Spirit.

Easter 2026 at RCC - 1 Corinthians 15:3-6

[3] For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, [4] that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, [5] and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. [6] Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep.

We are grateful to the living God for adding to the local church those He saved by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone!

Ephesians 3:20-21
[20] Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, [21] to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Romans 15:5-7

[5] May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, [6] that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. [7] Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.

1 Corinthians 2:1-5

[1] And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. [2] For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. [3] And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, [4] and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, [5] so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

Isaiah 54:5

[5] For your Maker is your husband,
the LORD of hosts is His name;
and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer,
the God of the whole earth He is called.

If the gospel hasn't changed your life then you haven't been changed by the gospel.

2 Corinthians 5:17
[17] Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. (ESV)

If the way you live life is indistinguishable from the the people around you who do not profess Jesus as Lord, then you must consider your own salvation.

How does the Christian live? How does the person who is born again by the Holy Spirit walk? How do who are in Christ by faith live in the world?

Psalm 101:1-4

[1] I will sing of steadfast love and justice;
to you, O LORD, I will make music.
[2] I will ponder the way that is blameless.
Oh when will you come to me?
I will walk with integrity of heart
within my house;
[3] I will not set before my eyes
anything that is worthless.
I hate the work of those who fall away;
it shall not cling to me.
[4] A perverse heart shall be far from me;
I will know nothing of evil.

We will walk in life as Jesus walked in active obedience to His Father and ours!

Revelation 5:9-10

[9] And they sang a new song, saying,

“Worthy are you to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God
from every tribe and language and people and nation,
[10] and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God,
and they shall reign on the earth.”
