FREE FOOD AND THE FOUR NOBLE TRUTHS

Thank you for the great turnout at this evening's free Summer Monday Community Meal. The food was awesome once again. So was the 2nd presentation by World Religions teacher Taylor Moyer.

Taylor introduced everyone to Buddhism, the world's second oldest major religion.

FREE COMMUNITY MEAL!
Our free community meal - open to ALL - begins at 5:30 p.m. on Monday June 1. World Religions presentation begins at 6:30 p.m. ** In Our Air-Conditioned Fellowship Hall **

Menu for June 8 includes: Meatloaf, Baked potato, Roasted vegetables, Broccoli salad, Celery Salad, Brownies, and Cake.

After supper, you are welcome to stay for kids' activities. Adults will be able to listen to part 2 of
EXPLORING THE WORLD'S 5 MAJOR RELIGIONS

Featured presenter Taylor Moyer guides us through the world's five major faith traditions in chronological order. On June , Taylor will talk about Buddhism.

Taylor was born on the culturally and religiously diverse Hawaiian island of Oahu. He shares his knowledge as a veteran of teaching world religions at the Toledo School for the Arts.

See you each Monday in June for a feast of fellowship, good food, and knowledge.

We'll keep it brief! Our partners at Orphan Grain Train volunteer network asked our congregation to consider donating "foundation" clothing... or maybe it's "unmentionables." Well, ok, un**es and socks, for those in need.

Well, considering we are St. "Johns", you had to know our congregation would come through! These much-needed items were delivered today to OGT.

Learning is good for the soul. Following our first free summer community meal of 2026, a good number of us stayed to learn about the oldest of the world's major religions - Hinduism.
