Our goal is to help women grow stronger in their faith, to find God's calling for them, and to strengthen Christian families by strengthening women in Christ. The Restoration Women's Ministry is a ministry within First Baptist Church of Hokes Bluff. This ministry consist of ladies within our church who come together with the same purpose and mind of Christ to see His kingdom advanced. We believe
that women's ministry, along with every ministry of the church, is vital to the growth both numerically and spiritually of the church. It is important for women to grow in Christ, to mentor each other, and to be the hands and feet of Christ, not only to each other but to the community. This group exist to encourage, sharpen, restore, reach, comfort, disciple and mentor ladies in FBCHB and the community of Hokes Bluff. This group is made up of ladies 18 to 99 that study God's Word together and encourage one another on a weekly basis. One opportunity is in the church setting on Wednesday night at 6:15 pm. This is a large group of ladies who divide into smaller groups for more intimate discipleship time. These groups study Bible study books together. The second opportunity is an off-campus Bible study on Tuesdays at 4 p.m. in the home of a church member. This group is a smaller more intimate group who desires to dig deeper into Gods word as we study Bible characters and what we can learn from them and apply to our lives today. Both of these Bible study times are designed to strengthen each of our relationships with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and prepare us for His service. Both of these groups are loving and caring Christian women who embrace anyone who wants to join them and includes them in this group to accomplish the goals of this ministry. Both of these groups are open to anyone who would like to participate and grow with us. Our theme verse for the Restoration Women's Ministry is Galatians 6: 1 -2 which tells us Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. We believe that no one should bear a burden alone. We point them first to Christ and then minister to and encourage them as we bear each other’s burdens. From these Bible Study groups we have formed seven smaller accountability groups which meet once a week to share truth with love in our daily struggles and to pray for one another. Our group also provides leadership training for the women in the church who are interested in being leaders. We have an annual Retreat each year, monthly fellowship opportunities, mission projects each month to serve the community that we live in, and in-reach and Outreach. The goal of all of these activities is to help women to grow stronger in their faith, to find the calling that God has on their lives, and to strengthen Christian families by strengthening these women in Christ. We also work very closely with the Hokes Bluff Women's Conference which is a wonderful time of unity, worship and outreach with the ladies in our community. We have a lot of wonderful new Ministry opportunities on the horizon for this group, we would love to have as many ladies as possible to join us in advancing God's Kingdom through these opportunities.
