Our name says a lot about us. We're "Westside" because we're located on the west side of the Portland metro area in the community of Hillsboro, Oregon. We want God to use us in the lives of people who live in Hillsboro and in many other communities in our area. "Bible" is our middle name because the Scriptures are the only authority for all that we believe and practice as a church. We place a stro

ng emphasis on systematic Bible teaching and the application of God's written truth to life. We're a close "Fellowship" of Christian believers who have been saved by God's grace. Because of this, community and unity are very important to us. Our door is always open to all who love Jesus Christ or who want to come into a vital relationship with Him.

Our 2026 women’s retreat is in the books! Our women had a wonderful time at a house up on Mt Hood, despite several last-minute cancelations for sickness. This house was very conducive for cozy conversations, and there were plenty of those! There was also delicious food, game time, hiking, and inspiring sessions from Stacy Ingram on the topic of hospitality. We are so grateful for this time away together!

We recently announced that Jesse Hostynek is joining Westside’s shepherd-elder team!

Jesse has been part of Westside since birth and has been very active in serving the Lord. He has been married to Brittaney since 2012, and they have three beautiful children. Jesse is passionate about getting to know who God is through His written Word. He passionately wants to see God reveal Himself to every person who walks through the front doors of the church. He has served as a deacon, leads our young adults life group, and has been active in shepherding and discipling others.

During the past year, Jesse has completed our elder development program and accepts this spiritual leadership role with humility and with dependance on the Lord for much needed wisdom, strength, and integrity. We ask you to please encourage and pray regularly for Jesse and his family!
