Living For God

Living for God isn’t about grand gestures or complex rituals. It’s in the simple moments, the choices we make each day. It’s about kindness, forgiveness, and gratitude. Living for God means treating others with love, even when it’s challenging, and finding joy in serving those around us. It’s acknowledging that we’re not perfect but striving to reflect God’s love in our actions. It’s a journey of humility, seeking His guidance, and allowing His light to shine through us in the ordinary moments of life.

Bible Verse:

“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”

1 Corinthians 10:31

Feeling Blessed Daily

It’s easy to overlook the subtle invitations God extends to us each morning. Picture it like being on God’s wake-up list – a personalized call to embrace the new day with gratitude and purpose. As we open our eyes, let’s be attuned to the whispers of His guidance, finding solace in the sunrise and strength in the stillness. In those moments, we’re reminded that each day is a fresh opportunity to cultivate kindness, seek wisdom, and walk in the light of His love. May we greet each dawn with a heart tuned to the divine melody, grateful for the chance to live another day in alignment with God’s grace.

Bible Verse:

“And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭9‬:‭8

Staying Continuous in Prayer

In our hectic lives, maintaining a continuous conversation with the divine might seem challenging, yet it’s in those quiet moments and daily routines that prayer finds its strength. Just as a steady stream wears down the toughest rocks, continuous prayer softens the rough edges of our hearts and aligns us with a sense of purpose. It’s not about lengthy words or elaborate rituals but rather a heartfelt, ongoing dialogue with the Creator. Whether in gratitude, seeking guidance, or finding solace, being continuous in prayer transforms our ordinary moments into sacred connections, reminding us that we are never alone on this journey.

Bible Verse:

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” - ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬-‭18‬

Ever feel like you're in the waiting and you've been there a while? Are you feeling like you need for your circumstances to change and you can't stand to be in this place anymore? Today, as I read in Isaiah 60:22 I am reminded that much as we feel like we are in a river whose currents are fast and it seems to be sweeping us away, God can change our circumstances and do something mighty in our lives. Scripture speaks to everyone differently but this is how it spoke to me today. He can take us from that swift river to that calm stream just as quickly as He'd like to. In the meantime, though, trust in His plan for your life. He might be doing a work in you while you're waiting - something He couldn't have done without that time. He could be using you in the life of another. He could be doing many things. Trust Him as He brings you from the fast currents to the stillness.

Isaiah 60:22 - "The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the Lord; in it's time I will do this swiftly."

Lord,

Today we lift up Jessica and we just ask that you would whisper in her ear and that she would hear the sound of your voice.

Thank you that you have brought her to a safe place, Lord. In the stillness, we ask that you be there with her and that she may see your faithfulness. We fail you, Lord. We try to run away. You, God, never leave us and you are always there waiting. May she grab hold of your hand today and walk with you again.

We ask these things in Jesus' name,

Amen. 🙏

His affection for you goes beyond understanding, embracing you in moments of joy and comforting you in times of sorrow. Jesus’s love is a guiding light, a source of strength that reminds us we are cherished, valued, and never alone. Through the ups and downs, know that you are held in the warm embrace of a love that transcends time and circumstance—Jesus’s love for you is boundless and eternal.

God Always Makes a Way

In the twists and turns of life, it’s comforting to believe that God always finds a way. When challenges seem insurmountable, His unwavering presence serves as a guiding light. Just as rivers carve paths through rugged landscapes, God carves routes through our difficulties. It’s a reminder that even in the darkest moments, there’s a divine plan unfolding. Trust in the journey, for where our own efforts falter, God’s grace paves the way.

Bible Verse:

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭28‬‬‬

Please pray for Jessica today. She's not home yet but we can pray that God is making a way for her where there seems to be no way.

UPDATE: Jessica has been found alive! Praise God! Her family has been notified. She will need a lot of prayer. Please continue to pray for her.

Lord,

We give you all of the glory. We know that things could have gone another direction. You have heard our cries and answered them. Thank you, Lord.

In Jesus' name we pray,

Amen

God Says To Be Still

When God nudges us to “be still,” it’s like a gentle whisper in the midst of life’s chaos, reminding us to pause, breathe, and trust. It’s not always about physical stillness but rather a call to quiet the anxious thoughts, the racing heart, and the hurried pace of our lives. In those moments of stillness, God invites us to surrender our worries, fears, and uncertainties, finding solace in His presence. It’s an invitation to let go of control and allow His peace to wash over us, assuring us that He’s at work, even in the quietest moments. So, when God says, “be still,” it’s an encouragement to seek His tranquility amidst life’s turbulence, knowing that in the stillness, we can find renewed strength and a deeper connection with Him.

Bible Verse:

“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” - Psalms‬ ‭46‬:‭10‬

As the New Year begins - here's some verses that will remind you of who you are in Christ and the things He is doing in and through you.

Also, as you go about your day, please lift Jess up in prayer that she may be found safely and returned home. (In Jesus' mighty name!)

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! - 2 Corinthians 5:17

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. - Isaiah 43:19

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” - Jeremiah 29:11

There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off. - Proverbs 23:18

But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. - Isaiah 40:31

Trusting God, not People

Human promises are fragile things. Woven with good intentions, laced with love and hope, they are still susceptible to the storms of circumstance, the tremors of fear, and the inevitable flaws of our own mortality. To build our foundation solely on such promises is to invite heartbreak on shifting sands.

We need to turn our eyes to the only truly unyielding foundation: the unwavering word of God. His promises are not whispered hopes carried on the wind, but eternal decrees etched in the fabric of existence. They are not fleeting assurances swayed by circumstance, but unbreakable anchors forged in the fire of unconditional love.

Bible Verse:

“The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” - Psalm 18:2

Lord - today we lift up Jessica. Bring her home Lord. We ask that wherever she is today you would make your presence known to her in a mighty way - that she might feel you near to her. Thank you, Lord. We love you. We give you these requests in Jesus name.

Amen. 🙏
