On Sunday, we will turn our attention to Exodus 17, where God provides water from a rock for his people in the wilderness. Before this great miracle, God's people are grumbling against him. They doubt his goodness and his care even though he has already freed them from slavery in Egypt, delivered them through the Red Sea, and provided both manna and quail for them in the wilderness.

Why was contentment such a challenge for them? Why is contentment so difficult for us? How might this passage help us find true and lasting contentment?

Yesterday, we were called to worship by Psalm 145 and were reminded that God alone can satisfy.

As we worshiped yesterday, we were reminded by Exodus 15 that God is worthy of our praise because of who he is and how he redeems his people.
