Ignatius–considered one of the most important Apostolic Fathers, and who later died around 108 A.D. Meaning, he was of the immediate aftermath of Jesus coming to the earth, said this,

"while I flee to the Gospel as to the flesh of Jesus..."

Imagine the high regard and esteem of the Apostolic Fathers towards the scriptures and Holy writings! He just regarded the Gospel and writings of Christ to be compared to the physical flesh of our Lord and Savior.

And yet, unfortunately, most Christians who declare their faith in the power of Jesus don't ever read His Word.........:(

For those that do not know. St. John (wrote the Book of John), and He discipled Polycarp–

Polycarp and Clement of Rome are considered Apostolic Fathers of the earliest Church.

And, it is this Clement of Rome who said off of the heels of comparing all of the ordinances of God such as: the laws governing Day and Night, the stars, the fixed boundaries of the earth, and the roaring of the oceans–––then, said this,

"It is right therefore that we should not leave the post which His will has assigned us."

Comparatively, Gods laws govern the natural world; And, we too, should stand guard (not leaving our post)and ensure no night should creep into the crevices of our hearts; no wandering star should cause us to deviate off-course; And, no roaring wave and thought should cross the shoreline.

Man your post. Guard your heart. Take captive your thoughts. Because to not do so is unnatural. You are a solider in the army of God! To slumber, to weary, and to sleep is to be dishonorably discharged.

I Doubt Your Sincerity In Wanting To Become Delivered.........

We are desperate to see God move, pending that His movement only requires movement of our external circumstances; however, if at any time it requires us to wrestle, it is followed with– “I rebuke you Devil in the name of Jesus”.

Thus.

We go on, and celebrate the small prayers of, “God please give me a front row parking spot.”

Has it ever dawned on you, that God is “willing to answer our front row parking space prayer”; however, have you noticed that you have been praying for years to become delivered from p**n, depression, suicidal thoughts? (Either God isn’t listening, or is He just more concerned about you getting a good parking space–– more so, then your deliverance....?)

Or, Maybe, something is wrong with our order and doctrine of things.....?

We sale the altar call, the baptismal, the “Moment” ....... Like student loans to a college student. And, our students are imprisoned with a false sense of Jesus. They celebrate, elevate, and idol worship the “Moment”. We sale the Road to Damascus; however, forsake the context of the story. We fail to mention the blindness of Paul, the prison, the Thorn... ect.....

We have trained our Church culture to elevate the “Moment” above doctrine, theology, scholasticism. My sheep know my voice; however, if you do not have God’s Word (The Bible) then do you really know His voice?

The “Moment” is the act of looking inward, accepting responsibility, and receiving His imputed Righteousness. Christianity isn’t just a singular moment of looking inward; rather, it is a lifetime of doing so. Sometimes, it requires that we wrestle like Jacob did with the Lord. And, like Jacob, who suffered with a broken hip afterwards–––never walked the same again...

Maybe.... Just maybe...., It isn’t you truly being stuck because you lack the “Know How”. Maybe, you recognize the cost of what it would take to become delivered, to become set free, and to find victory; however, your just not willing to pay the cost...?

So,
You strut with tremendous swag, neglecting His Rod and Staff on your way to future bo***ge.

Salvation (The Moment) came about from your willingness to look inward and accept responsibility.......
So, my question to you is, are you willing to do that again...........?

Knowing Yourself Is Foolish.....

How many self-help books, tv programs, and motivational seminars advocate you getting to know yourself?.......

How many times do we see someone who has learned a very valuable lesson throughout their life, and are sharing it with those less fortunate, who have not the luxury of discovering that lesson for themselves?

All this time spent learning through experience what kind of person you are...........

All this time spent determining your goals, attractions in a possible mate, and self-discoveries throughout your life...........

However, what if this is the problem.........?
The cosmological argument establishes the case, that all things that begin to exist have a cause......

So, if God is the efficient cause of my existence and I am the effect;(I am the effect of His willingness to create me) then, wouldn’t it follow to familiarize ourselves with the Cause? And, not waste time learning of the Effect? If a Cause be known, it's effects is also known. Wherefore all that is in anything whatsoever can be known if God be known as well.

Existence & Essence

I participate in existence; however, I am not existence itself. In our minds we are capable of extrapolating our existence from our essence. There is a difference between "What I am" to
"That I am". Similarly, we can differentiate "What" a unicorn is from "That" a unicorn is in reality. The essence of a unicorn and what makes it a unicorn is different from it actually existing in the real world.

In God, there is no difference between existence and essence; that He is, is no different from what He is. He is Pure existence!

Modern church culture has attempted to separate
faith and reason. A massive divide, coupled with a misidentification of what scripture calls faith—has led to countless believers checking reason, knowledge, and the sciences at the doors of their churches. Never has scripture advocated blind faith—Blind faith is unbiblical!

However, early church fathers understood that you cannot have faith without reason—because reason is the means to understand what kind of faith one must have—either for this or for that.

Remember, for someone to say, “I only walk by faith, and don’t rely upon reason”; had to communicate that truth to you—using…….”Reason”… 😂

Reason is the means for which we understand what kind of God we serve or don’t serve. Reason and wisdom were once of the highest virtues a theologian could possess. However, NOW—Pastors will regularly create false dichotomies insinuating that you are either a person of faith OR your a person who all you do is care about scripture and knowledge—thus, it’s one over the other!!! You can’t have both..

However, early church culture, you were expected to have both! Real Christianity is one which fuses both Faith and Reason together!! And this my friend is how

Scholasticism was born………….

People are not moral either; should we reframe from being moral..?🤔
