Friday's Mediation on Acts 8:25-40 (Sermon Recap):

Philip saw God do an amazing work in the life of this eu**ch. He repented of his sins, believed the gospel of Jesus, and was baptized. Then, the Spirit leads Philip away to Azotus. Acts 8 almost reads like Philip was in a pinball machine - Samaria, desert road, Azotus. Yet, Philip was led by the Spirit. He walked by the Spirit. He was empowered by the Spirit, just as Acts 1:8 promised.

Friends and family, GPS, podcasts, news channels, self-help books, teachers, and so on...there are so many voices we hear each day. Are we hearing the voice of the Spirit as He leads us? Galatians 5:16 says we are to "walk by the Spirit." Galatians 5: 25 says we are to "keep in step with the Spirit."

The Holy Spirit in us brings fruitfulness, comfort, holiness, power, boldness, comfort, and direction to the follower of Jesus. Are we yielding our lives daily to His leadership? Or, are we listening to the wrong voices?
