🌺 NEW ARTWORK: Chinese Poppy Miniature Study 🌺

Bold, vibrant, and full of energy, this Chinese Poppy miniature captures one of nature's most striking flowers. I created this piece using mechanical pencil, kneaded eraser, colored pencil, India ink pen, and acrylic paint pen before refining the presentation with Snapseed and Procreate.

The rich reds, layered petals, and detailed center made this flower a fascinating subject to explore. As part of my ongoing botanical artwork collection, this piece celebrates the beauty that can be found in even the smallest blooms.

A new floral miniature has bloomed in the Blooming Marvelous May collection! 🌺

Pansy Miniature Study explores rich reds, layered shadows, and bold botanical textures in a compact floral composition inspired by the dramatic natural patterns found in pansies. This piece was created using mechanical pencil, kneaded eraser, colored pencil, India ink pen, and acrylic paint pen, then digitally refined with Snapseed and Procreate.

I’ve been really enjoying experimenting with small-scale floral artwork lately because every texture and line becomes more important at miniature size. The strong contrast in this one gave the flower an almost glowing appearance against the darker greens and earthy background tones.

Soft spring colors and layered textures come together in Lilac Miniature Study — a mixed media botanical artwork inspired by the gentle beauty of lilac blossoms. 💜🌿

This miniature floral piece was created using mechanical pencil, kneaded eraser, colored pencil, India ink pen, and acrylic paint pen, then refined digitally with Snapseed and Procreate. I wanted the artwork to feel expressive and textured while still capturing the soft atmosphere that lilacs are known for.

🌼 New Artwork Available – Violet Miniature Study 🌼

My latest floral miniature artwork, Violet Miniature Study, is now available as an open edition print on my Art Storefronts website. This piece was created using mechanical pencil, kneaded eraser, colored pencil, India ink pen, and acrylic paint pen, then refined digitally with Snapseed and Procreate.

I wanted this artwork to balance soft botanical shapes with darker textured contrast, giving the violets a glowing appearance against the layered background. This piece is part of my ongoing Blooming Marvelous May and Miniature May creative projects, where I’ve been experimenting with small-scale floral studies and mixed-media techniques throughout the month.

New floral artwork now available! 🌸

Chrysanthemum Miniature Study is part of my ongoing Blooming Marvelous May and Miniature May artwork series. This piece was created using mechanical pencil, colored pencils, India ink pen, colorless blender pen, and acrylic paint pens, then refined digitally with Snapseed and Procreate.

The chrysanthemum itself was primarily built using rich magenta and fuchsia tones to create a bold layered floral look with strong contrast and texture. I really enjoyed experimenting with the dense petal structure and graphic ink outlines in this piece.
