Eastern Oregon First-Responders Chaplains Association - EOFCA

Eastern Oregon First-Responders Chaplains Association - EOFCA The EOFCA is not a church. EOFCA is non-denominational in emphasis, providing unrestricted service regardless of personal faith or beliefs.

The EOFCA exists to provide biblically based chaplain services, both personal and professional, to all law enforcement and emergency services personnel and their families within the supported agencies of Eastern Oregon. We are a Christian ministry that exalts the Lord Jesus Christ and is not in the business of seeking converts to any particular church group or denomination.

'Tis the season... for Porch Pirates. Arrgh!

Your Hermiston Police Department has taken a few calls already this Holiday Season from citizens reporting packages stolen from their residences. Nothing's worse than finding that perfect gift and having someone help themselves to it before you get home. Here are a few ways to thwart the nasty buggers:

- Track packages via cell phone or email so you're there when they arrive.
- Require a signature for delivery.
- Use a package locker or ship to your workplace.
- Schedule deliveries for days you'll be home.
- Create a space not visible from the street for deliveries.
- Place a locking box on your porch and request packages are secured inside.
- Consider in-store pickup.
- Talk to your neighbors and work together to pick up deliveries for one another.
- Put security measures in place, such as cameras.
- If you see something, say something, call to report suspicious behavior.

Your HPD wants everyone to have a Merry Merry and a Happy Happy!
