Day 1 of Vacation Bible School at Bethesda Mennonite Church was an eventful one as the normally quiet church exploded with noises! Singing, chattering, the sound of little footprints running here and there, maybe some screaming and a lot of praising God! This year's theme is "Rome: Paul and the Underground Church" so we built our very own Roman Empire in our sanctuary... and no, Rome was not built in a day.

We head to Rome in less than a week! Kids make sure your mom's have signed you up. Only a week left to register. Sometimes mom's need a gentle reminder. Who am I kidding... kids don't look at Facebook! So mom's, this is your reminder... do you have your kids signed up?

Margaret Hiebner, 73, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026 in Henderson. She is survived by her husband Arlin; children, Charles and Jen Hiebner, Madison and Fin of Lincoln, James and Sandrine Hiebner and Wesley of Metz, France and Keith and Anne Hiebner of Goshen, Ind.; along with nine siblings and their families and three brothers-in-law and their families.
Graveside services will be held at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 in the Bethesda Cemetery, followed by a Memorial Service at 10:30 a.m. at the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson. Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Monday, May 26 with the family greeting friends from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Metz Mortuary in Henderson.
Please remember to keep Margaret's family in your prayers.

🚨... Late, very late, breaking news ... 🚨 There will be no potluck meal this Sunday at Bethesda due to the combination of Graduation and Mother's Day. If you've already made you dish I guess you're set for at least one meal next week! Very sorry for the late notice, it kind of slipped our minds.
