Martin Short's daughter was found dead after wellness check.
Mental health today is one of the most important things a person can possess!
Comedian Martin Short has seen his share of tragedy:
“But the understanding that mental health and cancer, like my wife [had], are both diseases, and sometimes with diseases, they are terminal," he told CBS. "And my daughter fought for a long time with extreme mental health — borderline personality disorder, other things — and did the best she could until she couldn't."
He added that he wants more people to take "mental health out of the shadows" so that people aren't "ashamed" of talking about it. "Not hiding from the word su***de, but accepting that this can be the last stage of an illness," he said.
He also discussed the deaths of his brother, mother, and father, all of which occurred by the time he was 20.”
Tragedy first struck the family when Martin's brother, David, died in a car accident. The actor was 12 years old at the time, and said that his mother was diagnosed with cancer at her son's funeral.
She died three years later. My father died the year after that," Martin told the crowd. "So there was definitely a period where life changed completely.”-Martin Short
The answers where mental health are found is, “In Christ”. Simple as that. People make life complicated and it isn’t. Mental health is what God (God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, the God of the Bible) specializes in (Romans 12:1-2). It doesn’t matter what you’re facing, God is stronger than that because if you feel that your condition is beyond what God can heal, then you don’t truly believe and trust in His redemptive power. I have seen a lot of stars on the silver screen die and I always wonder, where are they spending their eternity? Moreover, I wonder if they knew God’s miraculous power (Romans 1:16), both written and living! It’s all about relationship with God. Recently, I wondered about Robin Williams (1951-2014), Kirk Douglas (1916-2020), Robert Conrad (1935-2020), Max Von Sydow (1929-2020), Kenny Rogers (1938-2020), Brian Dennehy (1938-2020), Jerry Stiller(1927-2020), Carl Reiner (1922-2020), Rob and Michele Reiner (1947-2025; 1955-1925), and the list goes on and on and on! Questions that roll through my head today concerning actors and actresses that are still alive are:
1. Are they happy?
2. Does the money make them happy?
3. What are they struggling with?
4. What is their belief system? Which will determine where they spend eternity.
No human being was ever created to live in the place called Hell (https://youtu.be/UYAVkuNk8pU?si=XWoCJ3x0y442St2K). It’s unnecessary that people will go to hell if they do not accept Christ in their life. Why, because they have to? It shouldn’t be because you have to(Fire insurance)? No, but rather because you should want to. Many people came to Christ for their healing in the gospels, and many thousands, millions since then have recognized that he does have nothing but good plans for people (Jeremiah 29:11). Before my adoptive dad died, who abused me when I was in my childhood every which way you could think of, I told him about Christ, and how cool God is. He did accept Christ in his heart. I have always thought that people who have a terrible life here should not have a terrible eternity.
