Dear Church Family,
It has been a beautiful and fruitful summer, and here we are at the end of August. For our children and parents and teachers, the school year has either just started or is just about to begin.
We know that we live in a day and age where there is a war being waged for the souls and bodies of our children and grandchildren, and we need to be sober, be vigilant, in order to protect them. Just as we arm ourselves in our homes to guard them against intruders, the Bible instructs us to arm ourselves and fit ourselves and our children as Christians, to stand against the wiles of the devil and the wickedness of this age. We are to resist, steadfast in the faith. We are to bring our children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. We are to be intentional and involved in their upbringing, and not abandon them to an anti-God society ruled by spiritual darkness.
The message to the church that lives in an evil day, is to stand. We stand together, unified, holding our ground, and we stand fitted in His chosen armor. We are to stand having put on truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, taking faith, salvation, and the Word of God, and stand in prayer.
As a church, let’s unify in prayer today for our children and grandchildren, for our parents who are teaching at home, for our teachers in the public schools, and for our teachers in our and other Christian schools. We need prayer in this day. Finally, let’s be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might, and let’s stand, equipped and ready.
