Big Sky Fellowship We exist to DISCOVER, DEVELOP, and DEPLOY everyday missionaries for the glory of God. We exist first and foremost for God and his glory.

There are several ways in which God is glorified through us. One is our worship and enjoyment of Him and another is knowing Him more deeply and allowing Him to shape all areas of our lives. This is what we strive for during our worship services on Sunday morning and with our small groups throughout the week. We want the church to come together and with one voice resound the greatness of God and di

ve deep into the scriptures together. Another way that God is glorified through us is when we are used by him to fulfill the great commission. This is our preaching of the gospel to our neighbors, our mission efforts in our state and country, and when we take the gospel to the nations. At Big Sky Fellowship we want every member to know and understand that it is their responsibility to make Him known. We are all missionaries in whatever context God has placed us. So we will focus on the glory of God in our services through gospel-centered preaching of the scriptures, and singing. We will focus on the glory of God in fulfilling the great commission through gospel-centered service and disciple making in our community and amongst the nations. It is our prayer that Big Sky Fellowship will pursue the making of disciples until every people group has heard the name of Jesus.

The Upside-Down Kingdom
All Kinds of Responses | Luke 8:4-15 | 8/23/2026

The same seed is scattered. The same Word is proclaimed. But it doesn’t always produce the same response.

In the Parable of the Sower, Jesus turns our attention to the condition of our hearts. Some are hardened. Some are shallow. Some become crowded by the cares and pleasures of this world. And some receive the Word, hold fast to it, and patiently bear fruit.

So the question isn’t simply, Have I heard the Word?

It’s What is the Word producing in me?

Join us this Sunday at Big Sky Fellowship as we continue The Upside-Down Kingdom and consider Jesus’ call to hear His Word, hold fast to it, and bear fruit.

Our responsibility is to sow the seed. The harvest belongs to God.

The Upside-Down Kingdom
All Kinds | Luke 9:1-3 | 8/16/2026

The gospel is not for one kind of person or one kind of place.

As Jesus traveled from city to city and village to village, He gathered ordinary people with different stories, backgrounds, resources, and reputations—and invited each of them to participate in the advance of His Kingdom.

The same is true today.

God has placed each of us in particular homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, and relationships. He has entrusted us with time, gifts, resources, and influence, and all of it can be leveraged for the mission of the King.

This Sunday at Big Sky Fellowship, we continue The Upside-Down Kingdom and consider what it looks like to make our lives fully available to Jesus.

The gospel is for all kinds of people in all kinds of places.

The Upside-Down Kingdom

Dinner with Debtors | Luke 7:36–50 | 8/9/2026

Two people sit near Jesus. One is confident in his own goodness. The other falls at His feet, overwhelmed by grace.

This Sunday at Big Sky Fellowship, we continue The Upside-Down Kingdom as Jesus shares a meal with a Pharisee and an unexpected guest interrupts the dinner. What unfolds exposes the difference between religion that keeps Jesus at a distance and faith that responds to Him with extravagant love.

The truth is, we are all debtors—and none of us can pay what we owe. But Jesus has done what we never could. At the cross, He paid our debt in full.

And when we begin to understand just how much we’ve been forgiven, it changes the way we love the One who forgave us.

Jesus paid it all. And all to Him we owe.

In Luke 7, we saw that even John the Baptist had questions. Jesus didn't condemn him. He reminded him of what was true.

When life feels uncertain this week, remember God's faithfulness. Hold on to what He's already shown you.

Glenn Rosenbaum

We believe the church is our Basecamp. And Basecamps are where we go to refuel, refocus, and restock for the mission God has given us.

And because disciples are formed in circles, not rows, we are committed to helping every member at Big Sky engage in a basecamp this fall.

One of our own is uniquely equipped to help us accomplish this goal. Glenn is a national ministry leader with Mighty Oaks Ministry - a Christian organization that serves military and first responder veterans. Glenn will be helping lead the charge this fall as we seek to grow in community together.

After months of collecting, sorting, organizing, and praying... our Clothing Closet opens tonight!

Beginning at 5:00 PM, our doors will open to welcome our community with free clothing for the whole family.

Whether you're coming to shop, volunteer, or simply pray for the conversations that will happen today, we'd love for you to join us.
More than clothing, our prayer is that every person who walks through our doors experiences the love, dignity, and hope of Jesus.

Sunday gave us such a beautiful picture of who we are called to be as the church.

Before the sermon, we celebrated and prayed over people living on mission in several different ways: a team who served Helena Valley Baptist Church with a building project, the many women who have worked tirelessly to prepare our Clothing Closet, and two men who will take the remaining donations to Fort Belknap,serving, preaching, and leading worship there.

Then, at the end of the service, Pastor Chris invited anyone carrying something heavy—a loved one’s health, a hurting marriage, a broken relationship, or simply the weight of coming to the end of themselves—to come to the altar.

And he reminded us:
“If a brother or sister comes to the altar, don’t let them come alone.”

One by one, people stepped forward and others followed to pray, encourage, and stand beside them.

This is the church: living on mission, praying over the work ahead, carrying one another’s burdens, and fighting life’s battles together, confident that the ultimate victory has already been won in Jesus.

Please continue praying for the Clothing Closet, for the ministries happening throughout Helena, and for the team serving at Fort Belknap, and for our family at Big Sky.
