St. Cuthbert Orthodox Church Welcome to St. Cuthbert Orthodox Church located in Hedgesville, WV. We are a Western-rite parish of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia.

We have Saturday Vespers at 7:30pm, and Lauds and Mass on Sunday at 9:00am. We are a canonical Western-rite parish of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, under the Omophorion of His Eminence, Hilarion, Metropolitan of ROCOR. Yesterday we celebrated the Feast of the Ascension of our Lord.

Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, which is taken from you into heaven, shall so come. Alleluia.

While they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, they cried, Alleluia.

ALMIGHTY and everlasting God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, vouchsafe to look upon this Thy servant(handmaid) N., whom Thou hast been pleased to call to take his (her) first steps in the faith ; drive far from him (her) all blindness of heart; break all the snares of Satan, wherewith he (she) hath been bound; open to him (her), O Lord, the gate of Thy mercy, that, being filled with the sign of Thy wisdom, he (she) may be free from all evil desires, and in the sweet savour of Thy commandments may joyfully serve Thee in Thy Church and prosper from day to day.
