It reminded us that our confidence isn't found in our performance—it's found in Christ's work.

Ephesians 2:1-9

Week 2: Am I Really Saved?

Big Idea: Our confidence is found in Christ's work, not our performance.

Salvation is a gift.
• God has moved toward us and offered us eternal life based solely on his action, not ours.

Salvation is yours to keep.
• We are saved by grace through faith in Christ, and then we are expected to live the rest of our lives shaped by that gift of salvation. If we have accepted the gift, we now live as Christ instructed, waiting on his return.

Losing your salvation is a misleading concept.
• Scripture is clear that God wants us to be assured that he can keep us to the end if we submit to him. We strip away sin's power over us when we confess and repent. To ignore this is not to "lose salvation" but to willfully reject what Christ called us to.

Be careful judging the moment.
• Everyone traverses the difficult times in life, and through our imperfections God is faithful to mold us into the image of Christ. It is in this light that we must be aware that perseverance is often the one thing that indicates a real relationship with Christ.

small part in what God is already accomplishing
through this ministry.
