You cannot control how your kids turn out, and carrying that guilt or pride will only weigh you down. Focus instead on building their character during the years you have them, and trust that you do not have to be perfect. Your job is simply to invest in who they are on the inside.

Deuteronomy 6:4-9

Paint a Picture of what it means to love and follow Jesus Christ.
• Your kids become what they see, not what you say.
• Habits must be personal on your heart first. If it's not a priority to you, it won't be a priority to anyone else.

Build a Culture through what you do and say consistently over time.
• Teach your kids to be grateful - science has learned that there's a link between gratitude and mental health. Have expectations and enforce them. Admit your mistakes, ask them to pray for you, and ask for their forgiveness.

Capture the Moment - see the eternal opportunities that the Holy Spirit gives you every day.
• When your kids feel defeated, encourage them with what God says about them. Point out principles you're teaching so they understand why you're doing it.
