Today I solicit your prayers as I deal with a topic that I had to tackle head on.

Join me today as I speak from a personal and private place.

When I had to become my mother’s advocate, it opened my eyes to the reality that so many families face daily. Our country has failed many individuals with medical conditions by placing complex health challenges into one broad category — “mental illness” — without fully addressing the unique care, dignity, support, and understanding people truly deserve.

This conversation is bigger than one family.
It is about compassion, advocacy, awareness, and responsibility.

Today, I speak not only as a pastor and leader, but as a daughter who had to stand in the gap for someone she loves deeply.
