Not every distraction looks like sin.
Some distractions look like responsibility.
A full calendar.
Important work.
Good opportunities.
Even meaningful service.
But anything that constantly leaves us
too rushed to pray,
too tired to open God’s Word,
or too distracted to hear His voice
is taking more from us than it gives.
The enemy does not always need
to pull us away from God
with something obviously wrong.
Sometimes, he only needs
to keep us too busy
to draw near to Him.
May we not just fill our days
with good things.
May we make room
for the One who gives every good thing
its true purpose.
“If the devil cannot make us bad,
he will make us busy.”
