What It Means to Pray Today

Today is the National Day of Prayer. It means at noon all over America, Christians will be gathering to pray for our country, pray for our leaders, pray that many people will come to the Lord or come back to the Lord.

Locally, there will be gatherings at noon at the Routt County Historic Courthouse, 522 Lincoln in Steamboat and at the Moffat County Courthouse, 1198 W. Victory Way in Craig. If you can’t make those gatherings, take a few minutes to stop where you are and pray. We are one in Spirit and today we have the commission to pray together across this country.

Note: this photo was chosen for the emotion it conveys about prayer to the Lord. As Christians, it is a privilege and pleasure to lift others up to the throne of God and often comes from the deepest reaches of our souls. No need for rote murmurings. Just offer your heart to the Lord and don’t worry about wordsmithing.

How to Help with the Ron Nereson Gathering after his Funeral Services

Glad we got your attention with a photo of something Ron loved -- casseroles. : D

Tomorrow is Ron Nereson's funeral at the Hayden Center (the old HS) and we are coordinating a dinner for him. We do need some more items as this funeral may be larger than we anticipated initially.

Many have expressed interest in helping but need to know how to contact those planning this.
