Accessible Grace

Accessible Grace Planted & Prospering in God's Word: A place to receive updates on our Ministry and Cameron's persona What the enemy meant for harm, God used for Good.

Cameron Horner Ministries began simply by God’s Word being spoken in the midst of an impossible situation. On Aug.11th, 2011, while on a lake vacation with Family, Cameron Horner had a diving accident which resulted in a broken neck and injured spinal cord that left him paralyzed from the chest down. The Testimony of Cameron’s Faith and speaking the Word of God while facing the biggest battle of h

is life, went viral. God called Cameron to preach and as soon as he came home from extensive therapy Cameron Horner Ministries began. Cameron speaks at various churches, schools, retreats, youth events, etc. He also has a weekly radio ministry entitled "Joy in the Midst". There is a phrase within the disabled community: “Nothing about us without us.” Meaning, when designing something for us, include us in the process. It can stop simple errors such as this from occurring.

Too often our good intentions fail when people with disabilities aren’t included at the table. This is why we value BELONGING as a key value at Accessible Grace. We need people with disabilities at the table as community members, leaders, and contributors to allow true transformation to occur.

Some places carry memories we wish we could forget.

For Cameron, this is the place where life changed forever. What once represented trauma has become a testimony of redemption.

God is using Cameron’s story to create belonging, hope, and kingdom impact for people living with disabilities through Accessible Grace Ministries.

August 11th. 15 years ago today everything changed. And I join the Psalmist when he says “Behold, God is my Helper and He sustains my life. I will praise Your name for its goodness” and “surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life” (Psalm 54 & 23)

It is not the life I would have expected, and this day will always hold weightiness. Yet I have come to know that more than we need our circumstances changed, we need them encountered. He is waiting in our places of great need; when our needs are surrendered, there is beauty and blessing to be found.

When you support Accessible Grace you are helping to continue the calling that began this very day, and for that I truly grateful.

May the same be said in the stories you haven’t expected, and may your needs be met with grace and kindness.

Families affected by disability often carry more than most people see—and church can be either another place of strain or a refuge of true rest and belonging.

They need to be seen beyond labels, supported in practical and emotional ways, and welcomed into a community where they genuinely belong as full members of the body of Christ. Our heart is to help churches become that kind of place.

At Accessible Grace, lived experience with disability is at the heart of everything we do. We don’t just talk about disability in theory; we bring the reality of daily life, hidden griefs, hard-won wisdom, and unexpected joys.
