PREACHER SCHEDULE CHANGE: if you needed to talk to the Preacher this week, he'll be In the House Thursday afternoon, not Wednesday morning this week, for the Trunk or Treat event. His costume plans are unknown at this time ... hahaha!

On a "What is this weather doing?" day, some of us may have walked in today kind of flustered ... you know, this IS the Healing House. Chrissy Williams had two of the Norman children in training today (they ask - we don't make them). We had a great message in church service regarding love God with all your heart, mind, soul and LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF. Our Children's Church group was made up of two sets of siblings. As we left service to go to our lesson in the classroom, we had obvious inter-sibling squabbling and drama - PERFECT for our lesson's focus on treating others as you want them to treat you! They were really scratching their heads over it at first, but we got to explain that reacting in kind to bad behavior is not what Jesus taught. By the end of class, we had some good stuff going on, and we hope our parents and grandparents get the opportunity to take what they learned during service to reinforce what we were teaching in Children's Church! Sometimes a little pandemonium is HELPFUL! Bring us your kids, even if you are afraid to! hahaha! Jesus has some good advice ...

If you have any candy or prizes for this, bring to church on Sunday or drop off Wednesday a.m. at the church. We might need one more "trunk" to complete the "neighborhood". We will have hot dogs and popcorn and games, too. Are you too old to trick or treat but love dressing up? Volunteer to man a game or table! Let us know! The more the merrier and you don't have to have kids to share in the fun!

DON'T MISS OUT on your hour of PEACE & FIRE! Join us on Sunday at 11:00a for a great message, some singing, some praying, some fellowship and SOME FIRE. Reformation Sunday is a time to ponder way back yonder when Martin Luther put forth the idea of nonpapal rule, leading to the Protestant denominations freedoms we have today AND, in the Methodist church, it typically is a day of remembrance for the history of our individual churches and those who made it possible for us to be here today. We'd love to have you join us for service and maybe get involved in some of the many missions we have going on! We need you and God needs you! Come and GET YOUR GOD ON!

LOTS going on ... the bridal suite is taking shape, groom room in the sanctuary is just short a mirror, the endless screen door refurbishing is getting close to an end, and the painting goes on and on. Umm, we not only got new paint in the ladies room - we got AC/HEAT! You heard me! Hahaha! We high class now!

A CHANGE IN THE WEATHER might bring on a change in YOU! Join us for Sunday service at 11:00a, or come early for Sunday School at 10:00a! We have so many things you will be interested in being a part of: building refurbishment and restoration, food ministry delivery, Trunk or Treat, and the upcoming holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas KICK IT UP to an even higher level, with festivals and the parade and music! We have a million ways you can GET YOUR GOD ON!
SPECIAL NOTE: All board members need to stay after service for just a few moments to sign some documents! Will just take a moment!
