To our church family and our community,
After much prayer and careful consideration, we want to share that Pastor Steve and Angie Roberts have stepped down from their roles at Victory Church, effective immediately.
Recent circumstances have brought deep sorrow to many within our church and our community. While we are limited in what we can share at this time, we want to speak clearly about our hearts. We grieve whenever trust is broken and when people are hurt, and we take these matters with the utmost seriousness.
We want to state plainly that there is no place in the Body of Christ for sexual misconduct or the abuse of trust in any form. Such actions are contrary to the character of Christ and inconsistent with the values we are called to uphold as His church.
Our commitment remains to be a safe, Christ-centered community marked by truth, accountability, compassion, and care. We are prayerfully reviewing our practices and leadership processes to strengthen safeguards and ensure those who serve are equipped to care for and protect others well.
To anyone who has been impacted, please know you are seen, you are valued, and our hearts are with you.
To our church family, we ask for your prayers for everyone affected and for wisdom as we walk through this season. We also ask for grace as we move forward with integrity and transparency while respecting appropriate processes and the privacy of those involved.
To our community, we humbly acknowledge the pain this has caused and ask for the opportunity, with the Lord’s help, to rebuild trust. It remains our desire to reflect Christ faithfully and to walk in truth, humility, and love.
