āIt Starts With You!ā
Something Pastor Clint said that has really been sitting with us: āIt starts with you.ā
We often pray for change around us. We want a better work environment. We want our relationships to improve. We want more kindness, more patience, more grace, more encouragement, more people to act like Christ.
But what if the change weāre praying for is supposed to start with us?
If you want kindnessābe kind.
If you want graceāgive grace.
If you want encouragementāencourage someone.
If you want people to stop gossipingābe the person who refuses to participate.
If you want peaceābring peace into the room.
If you want Christ to be seenālet Him be seen through you.
Itās easy to point out what everyone else needs to change. Itās much harder to look in the mirror and ask, āLord, what needs to change in me?ā
Jesus didnāt call us to wait for everyone else to look like Him before we did. He called us to be the light.
So before you ask, āWhy isnāt anyone changing?ā
Maybe ask, āAm I being the change Iām praying for?ā
Because sometimes revival doesnāt start with a room full of people.
Sometimes it starts with one surrendered heart.
It starts with you. āļø
As you go into this new week, we pray that God would help each of us reflect Him in every room we walk into, every conversation we have, and every person we encounter. Letās be the difference weāre praying to see.
