graveside services for Edna will be tomorrow morning at the church at 10:00.

The church will be providing a meal in the fellowship hall after services.

Sister Edna will be greatly missed by her church family!

HARTFORD – Edna Mae Curtis, 73, of Hartford passed away September 1st, 2026. She was born July 16th, 1953 in Ohio County to the late Dallas T. and Marion Stephens Curtis.

Lonestar Church is heartbroken by the passing of our prayer warrior someone who encouraged others to carry on and always was a great worker in the church and community.

We remember her songs, her smiles and laughter that she spread to everyone and she will be missed.

Her pain is gone and her race is won she gone home to be with her savior now.

She is survived by a niece, Joyce Decker Pierce; and a nephew Tony Curtis; and her friend for 24 years, Douglas Tichenor.

A graveside service for Edna will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Lone Star Baptist Church Cemetery in Centertown with Bro. Kenny Shepherd officiating.

Thessalonians 4:14: "For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him."
