Baptist Collegiate Ministries at James Madison University is a student organization that exists to share the love of Jesus with a campus that needs hope by loving God, serving others, and growing together. The BCM is for more than just Baptist students, but it is sponsored by the Virginia Baptist Mission Board.

We take discipleship very seriously. In Matthew 28, Jesus told His followers to make disciples of all nations. Attending a worship service or attending a small group doesn’t necessarily guaranteed you’ve been discipled.

But we can guarantee you an opportunity to be.

In the next two weeks we’re kicking off our discipleship groups which are high invitation, high challenge groups that will encourage and challenge you to take the things Jesus said, seriously. It involves sharing, vulnerability, scripture and commitment to one another.

It’s not for everyone. But if this sounds like something you’re craving - send us a DM to be a part of what God is doing.

Genesis - we know it’s a book about the beginning of all things, but have you ever considered God’s invitation from reading Genesis?

By understanding Who made you, your purpose in the world, God’s good plan for humanity and His relationship with them… you might realize that Genesis is an invitation to return to the original intent of your humanity: relationship with God.

BCM fall retreat 🍁

Join us for a mountain getaway to bond with new friends, play lots of games, hike, and worship away from the craziness of campus. Sign up this week at Bible study to see a staff member.

Dates: September 18-30
Cost is $50 and includes lodging and dining. If finances are a tough spot for you we have generous alumni who help us offer scholarships to our students!
