Hey DUCC fam-
We are sending the first team from DUCC to partner with Kerus Global Education this September. Kerus Global Education is a nonprofit based here in Harrisonburg (https://kerusglobal.org/) and they have an orphan care center in Soshanguve, South Africa, a township outside of Johannesburg. There are approximately 80 orphans at this center; we will be serving as the hands and feet of Christ and sharing His love with the children, staff of 8, and grannies/caretakers through things like afterschool activities, medical clinics, food deliveries, and more. We would love for you to support us in the following ways:
1. Prayers and Encouragement-During DUCC’s 21 Day fast, please pray for things like team fundraising, our safety/well-being prior and during the trip, for the children, etc. Also, if you feel led to pray for a team member specifically or want to share a word of encouragement, please do so!
2. T-shirt fundraising (second photo)- We will be selling t-shirts in the lobby at DUCC in between services for the next couple of Sundays. They are selling for $20.
3. Financial support- If you feel led to support the team financially, please give using the DUCC app or website (https://pushpay.com/g/ducchurch?src=hpp) and for the last drop-down option under Funds, select the option that states “South Africa Missions Trip 2023-Kerus”.
