HAPPY EASTER! Woodland Kids celebrated by having an Empty Tomb hunt! They were so precious gathering their treats (although it was cold). Parents would have been very proud of their kids sharing and helping each other out. Then they went back to their rooms to see what they got. One child from each class who found the Empty Tomb although they were sad it was empty the joy on their face came when they got to trade their empty tomb for the big prize. It was a great visual lesson to go with today’s Bible story…
After His arrest, Jesus was led away and put on trial by religious and political officials. Even though He had done nothing wrong, Jesus was beaten, mocked, and sentenced to die on the cross. Jesus was crucified in between two thieves. One made fun of Him. After Jesus died, He was buried in a tomb. When some of His followers returned on the first day of the week, they were shocked to find an empty tomb. Angels said, "He is not here! He is risen!" Jesus defeated death! 🙌 Hallelujah!!!

What a great message today from Mark. Discipline is hard but necessary for learning and growth. How blessed we are to have a Heavenly Father that loves us that much!
Today kids ministry we talked about how Jesus walked toward Jerusalem, He met ten men with leprosy. They called to Jesus for help, and He told them to show themselves to the priests. As they walked away, they were healed. Only one, a Samaritan, returned to thank Jesus. Jesus asked why the others didn't return, then told the man, "Your faith has made you well."
Have a great week and we will see you Wednesday. ❤️

Today in Woodland Kids, they learned about a parable Jesus told about a father and his two sons. The younger son asked for his inheritance early, left home and wasted all his money. When he was hungry and poor, he decided to return to his father and ask for forgiveness. The father saw him from a distance, ran to him and welcomed him back with love and celebration.
How blessed we are to have a Heavenly Father who welcomes us with love when we become His!

In Woodland Kids today the kids got to hear all about how Mary and Joseph traveled to Bethlehem, and Mary gave birth to a baby boy. A large group of angels appeared to shepherds and announced that Jesus had been born. They said that this was good news of great joy. Jesus was the Savior. After the angels went away, the shepherds rushed to see the baby. They praised God for all He had done and shared what they had seen and heard. Mary treasured all of these things in her heart.
Hallelujah! The promised Savior is here!

Don’t forget…No Wednesday night services until January 7 and Sunday, December 28 is family service No kids classes! Enjoy the holidays!❤️

It was a great day at Woodland! We loved hearing the message from Pastor Heath!
Today in Woodland Kids they heard how an angel appeared to Mary, a young woman engaged to Joseph. He told her she would conceive a Son, Jesus. Jesus would be the Son of God and reign forever. When Joseph learned of Mary's pregnancy, he considered breaking off the engagement, but an angel appeared to him in a dream, confirming the Child was from God and that Jesus would save the people from their sins. Jesus was the promised Messiah!
Our Woodland Kids did a fabulous job performing The Little Drummer Dude!
Don’t forget next Sunday all the kids will sing for both services! Parents please make sure they practice singing and the hand motions please!

We were so happy to be able to be in church today. David did a great job delivering a very important message today about gifts and using them!
Please read to the end for announcements!

In kids ministry our precious kiddos heard about King Solomon and he had married many foreign wives who led him to worship other gods, despite God's warnings. God told Solomon He would divide the kingdom, leaving only a portion for his family because of the promise He made to David. Solomon's son, Rehoboam, ignored wise counsel and made the people's burdens heavier, leading to rebellion and the division of Israel. God promised a future King who would unite His people.

Today in Woodland Kids our classes learned how the Israelites worshiped God through sacrifices at the tabernacle. King David wanted to build a temple but was told by God that his son, Solomon, would fulfill this task. Solomon began construction. The temple's design included the Holy Place and housed the ark of the covenant in the Most Holy Place. God's glory filled the temple. Solomon prayed and thanked God for His presence and that He couldn't be
contained in a building.
Please don’t forget we will be wrapping up our Giving Project for the Carter Grace Foundation next Sunday. Let’s finish strong and help them feed those in need for Thanksgiving.
