As we celebrate America's freedom, we honor those who sacrificed so much for our country. We also remember that the ultimate freedom for all humanity is found in Jesus Christ. Jesus said "So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free" (John 8:36 NLV). Jesus laid down His life on the cross, showing His incredible love for us, so that through Him we can have eternal life.
Jesus said..."I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the kingdom of God." (John 3:3 NLT). Being born again is when God gives us a new heart as we come to Jesus in true repentance of sin, and asking Jesus into our heart as our Savior and Lord. The Scripture says..."If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved." (Romans 10:9-10 NIV)
The Bible teaches we all live for eternity, that heaven and hell are real, and that we must choose our destination. Praise God that He has made the way for us to live with Him for all eternity in heaven through Jesus Christ.
