📢 Friendly Neighborhood Episcopal Priest Reminder:

This Sunday is the Fourth Sunday after Pentecost AND Father's Day.

Which means we'll gather at 10:30 AM to worship God, pray together, sing a few hymns, and pretend we all know what day of the week it is.

🔥 The Season after Pentecost is that long green season where we learn what it actually looks like to follow Jesus in everyday life, and we're still committed to the radical idea that God's love isn't a limited edition collectible. Everyone means everyone.

👟 Reverend Bill will be with us in his liturgical Converse, shorts, and fueled by enough caffeine to make a cardiologist nervously check their clipboard.

Whether you're:

One of the things we love about being Episcopalians is that we're secure enough in our faith to laugh a little.

Not because faith isn't important.

But because we've learned that God is bigger than our anxiety, bigger than our doubts, and definitely bigger than our ability to take ourselves too seriously.

At the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Hansford, WV, you'll find reverence without rigidity, tradition without pretending, and people who know that joy is a spiritual practice too.

Filled with the Spirit. Rooted in Love. Open to All.

This Sunday at 10:30 AM, we'll gather for the Fourth Sunday after Pentecost at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Hansford.

And yes... the rumors are true. 👟

Due to an unexpected change in plans, Reverend Bill will be ending his leave a little early and will be back with the Shepherds of Good Shepherd this Sunday! We are grateful for his return and look forward to worshiping together once again.

Pentecost reminds us that God's Spirit shows up in unexpected places, through unexpected people, at unexpected times. Sometimes our plans change. Sometimes life gets messy. Yet God keeps showing up anyway.

That's good news.

As we continue through Pride Month, we also celebrate the truth that every person is created in the image of God and worthy of love, dignity, and belonging. No exceptions. No asterisks. No fine print.
