In the Parable of the Good Samaritan, Jesus challenges our tendency to limit who deserves our love and compassion. He shows that true mercy is not merely a feeling but action that moves toward people in need, even when it is costly or inconvenient. Ultimately, this parable points us to the greater mercy of Christ, who came near to us when we could not save ourselves and calls us to extend that same mercy to others.

Before Jesus teaches us about the kingdom, He challenges us to examine our hearts. The Parable of the Sower reminds us that the issue is not whether we hear God's Word, but whether we truly receive it, allow it to take root, and bear fruit. As we begin our journey through the parables, the question remains: Am I ready to hear the King?

Today we celebrate God's amazing grace as 4 people publicly declared their faith in Jesus through baptism!

Each baptism is a powerful reminder that Jesus is still changing lives, bringing hope, and making all things new. We rejoice with these individuals and thank God for the work He is doing in our church family.

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." — 2 Corinthians 5:17

Trials have a way of testing our trust in God, especially when life doesn't unfold the way we hoped. James reminds us that God uses difficulties not to abandon us, but to grow our faith, perseverance, and Christlikeness. Instead of measuring God's faithfulness by our comfort, we can trust that He is present, working, and has a purpose in every season. Think back on the trials you've gone through in life. Where was God in the midst of all of it?
