🌷 Blessed to Carry the Promise 🌷

In Luke 1:39–57 (CEB), we meet Mary and Elizabeth—two people who said yes to God’s movement in their lives and discovered that their gifts, faith, and encouragement mattered in ways they could never have imagined.

Their story reminds us that ministry doesn’t grow through perfect people or perfect plans—it grows when people recognize the gifts God has already placed within them and offer those gifts in service to others.

At Central, we believe God is still calling us to carry promises into our community. That means asking meaningful questions:

✨ What gifts has God given me?
✨ What burdens or needs in our community stir my heart?
✨ How might God be inviting me to serve, lead, welcome, teach, pray, encourage, create, or connect?

Every gift matters. Every act of faithfulness matters. Every person has a place in God’s work.

As we seek to grow ministry at Central and strengthen our presence in Hampton, may we discern boldly, serve joyfully, and trust that God can do extraordinary things through ordinary people who say yes.

“My soul magnifies the Lord…” — Luke 1:46 (CEB)

🌱 What gift might God be inviting you to share this season?

See you Sundays at 10 AM. All are welcome, come as you are.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their courage, sacrifice, and love for others remind us of the words of Jesus:

“No one has greater love than to give up one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13 (CEB)

As we gather with family and friends, may we also lift prayers of gratitude for our heroes and for the families who carry their memories each day. May God grant us peace, unity, and hearts committed to serving others with compassion and grace.

🇺🇸 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” — Matthew 5:9 (CEB)

This Sunday at Central, we reflect on the risen Christ breathing peace upon the disciples in John 20:19-23. In Scripture, breath is a sign of God’s life, hope, and Spirit moving among us.

As we honor the memory of our heroes this Memorial Day weekend, we also give thanks for the gift of every breath and every opportunity to serve others with love, compassion, and peace.

If you are weary, anxious, or searching for hope, remember this: Jesus still walks into locked rooms and breathes peace into fearful hearts.

Join us at Central United Methodist Church, Hampton Sundays at 10 AM as we continue to share Christ’s hope with our Hampton community. ❤️
