๐€๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐€๐ซ๐ž ๐–๐ž๐ฅ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ž ๐ข๐ฌ ๐š ๐‚๐š๐ญ๐ก๐จ๐ฅ๐ข๐œ ๐ง๐จ๐ง๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐Ÿ๐ข๐ญ ๐ฌ๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ข๐ง๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐๐ฎ๐š๐ฅ๐ฌ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐š๐›๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ข๐ซ ๐Ÿ๐š๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ.

We host Sensory-Friendly Masses, family events, parent & caregiver gatherings, sibling and youth opportunities, sacramental support, and more.

Our Diocese has generously helped fund this ministry from the beginning and continues to support us, but we have so ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐œ๐ก ๐ฆ๐จ๐ซ๐ž ๐ฐ๐ž ๐ฐ๐š๐ง๐ญ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐จ.

More parishes.
More programs.
More support for families.
More opportunities for individuals with disabilities to fully participate in the life of the Church.

And that takes funding.

Did you know that September is traditionally dedicated to ๐Ž๐ฎ๐ซ ๐‹๐š๐๐ฒ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐’๐จ๐ซ๐ซ๐จ๐ฐ๐ฌ?

Mary knew tremendous joy - but she also knew tremendous suffering.

The Church remembers ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ง ๐ฉ๐š๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐œ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐š๐ซ ๐ฌ๐จ๐ซ๐ซ๐จ๐ฐ๐ฌ in Maryโ€™s life, from Simeonโ€™s prophecy to standing at the foot of the Cross.

Her suffering didnโ€™t mean God had abandoned her. She remained faithful. She stayed close to Jesus. She trusted Him even when she didnโ€™t understand what was happening.

Maybe thatโ€™s why Our Lady of Sorrows speaks so deeply to so many of us.

For the seasons when loving someone is hard.
When life doesnโ€™t look the way we expected.
When we canโ€™t fix what hurts.
When all we can do is remain, love, pray, and trust.

Weโ€™ll gather for ๐๐š๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐ญ & ๐‚๐š๐ซ๐ž๐ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ ๐…๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ, celebrate the Eucharist together at our ๐’๐ž๐ง๐ฌ๐จ๐ซ๐ฒ-๐…๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐Œ๐š๐ฌ๐ฌ, and - after months of planning - ๐“๐ก๐ž ๐”๐ง๐ฌ๐ž๐ž๐ง ๐†๐š๐ฅ๐š is finally here! ๐Ÿฅ‚

September is going to be full, exciting, and such an important month for our ministry. Weโ€™re grateful for everyone who continues to show up, participate, volunteer, support, and help make this mission possible.

Weโ€™ve had so many new faces join us lately, so we thought it was time to reintroduce ourselves! ๐Ÿ™

All Are Welcome is a nonprofit Catholic ministry serving individuals with disabilities and their families.

Everything we do is volunteer-led, and while this ministry is incredibly important to us, we also have families, jobs, homeschool, parish life, and all the regular things happening outside of AAW. ๐Ÿ˜Š

As our ministry continues to grow, weโ€™re realizing how important it is to keep communication organized and in one place. Each of our volunteers has different responsibilities within the ministry, so when questions or requests are sent directly to an individual volunteer, thereโ€™s a chance the message may not reach the person who can best help youโ€”or may take longer to get where it needs to go.

Have you ever noticed the priest break off a tiny piece of the consecrated Host and place it into the chalice before Communion?

Thereโ€™s actually a name for it: ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ .

During the Fraction Rite, the priest places a small piece of the consecrated Host into the Precious Blood and quietly prays:

Fr. Seelos served right here in Louisiana and was known for his deep compassion for the sick, the poor, and those who needed Godโ€™s mercy and love most.

What a beautiful gift to our families - the Sacraments, the communion of saints, and a reminder that the Church truly sees and cares for every one of her children.
