A reminder:
If "His people",
will humble themselves,
and pray,
seek His Face,
and turn from our wicked ways,
then,
He will hear from Heaven,
will forgive our sins,
and heal our land...
Hey believers, "His people",
it's time,
Today is that day.

Hey believers,
have you ever smelled a fragrance that took you places? that reminded you so clearly of a person, a place, or thing, an experience maybe, but so clearly, that it was like being 'there' again?
For context' sake, let's focus on good, precious memories, and not the hard ones...
Just a fragrance, that you connect with that great memory so well, that even the fragrance itself becomes a precious thing to you,
can you relate?
Well, ponder this:
2 Corinthians 2:15 says that we, believers, you and I, are that very thing to God, that when He thinks of you, He thinks of Christ.
You are just that precious to Him.
You matter that much to Him.
And to really get this, listen to what Jesus prayed, concerning us, in John 17:23, "that the world may know, that You (the Father) sent me (the Son), and loved them (that's us), even as You have loved me. "
Read that again, slowly and carefully... the Father loves us, you and me, exactly the same way He loves the Son.
Get it?
Amazing ain't it?
Hey believer, child of the Living God, you are a fragrance of Christ, to the One and Only God, Who loves you just as much as He loves His One and Only Son.
Happy Sunday y'all...

Have you ever wondered...?
What Shadrach, Mesach and Abednego may have been thinking after their bold proclamation of faith ("even if He does not 'save us'...) and they were still tied up and thrown into the furnace...
What about when the Israelites were freed, then found themselves with death and slaughter behind them and a sea in front of them (no place to run)...

The point? Each of these had obeyed God's leading, only to find themselves in "impossible situations", and then, when, on the surface all hope seemed lost, God carried out the next step of His plan for them, and delivered them miraculously, as only He can.

Read carefully...
There may be, believer, almost certainly will be, believer, times when you question whether God has abandoned you, whether your faith is really sufficient, etc.
Be honest, no point in pretending to be "super saint" and act like its never happened.
However...
Nothing is wasted with God. Not your faith, your pain, passion or perception. He is far more dedicated and more deeply committed to the precious relationship between Himself and us than we can ever hope to be. His Love is not of the puny sort that depends on our mood.

When you wonder 'where is He, why is this happening, what did I do to deserve this?', and you aren't sure what to believe any more,
bank on this...
He is at work, doing the heavy lifting, things we could not, or would not, and He does it to carry out His far greater, more grand plan.
The simple, more direct way to say it, for those of us who have had our "questions", is that He isn't using or abusing you (us), He is building us.

Gear up believers, bruised, dazed believers, the best is still just ahead...

Hey believers,
"as a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied..."- Isaiah 53:11a

Isaiah's incredibly precise prophecy, 7 centuries before the event, of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

Here, he speaks of God the Father witnessing, recognizing, acknowledging the sacrificial death of God the Son,

and being "satisfied".

Let this sink in, especially it's meaning, its context and it's application.

The apostle Paul, writing with the inspiration of God, reveals that Christ "became our sin...", 2 Corinthians 5:21.

How much of our sin?
All of it. Colossians 2:13 confirms that.

Read carefully. Consider thoroughly...

Christ, and the entire Trinity for that matter, knew beforehand, ALL of our sin.
ALL of it, including that sin that Satan still uses to paralyze, to terrorize, to shame us.

Christ did the unimaginable.
God, perfect, holy, righteous God, became the very thing that our enemy has held over our head, that has kept us in imaginary prisons, and put it, all of it, to death on His Own Body.

Paul continues in 2 Cor 5:21, "...so that we (who believe in Him) would become the righteousness of God in Him."

Thoroughly.

God the Father, anticipating the crucifixion of our sin, on the Body of His Son, approves and is fully satisfied.

Believer, our sins are all stoned for, all of them. We are fully reconciled to God...
and He is happy about that.

Does this mean we can go on sinning without consequence?
Of course not. That's a whole other message, but for now, believer, accept what the Word says, IN CONTEXT, and enjoy your peace with God.

Know who you are, and more importantly, Whose you are.

Happy Sunday y'all.

Hey believers, carefully consider this. No matter how "sophisticated" we in the western hemisphere imagine ourselves to be, even as Christians, the Holy Bible plainly teaches, within context, the existence of the spiritual realm. Some think the idea of 'spiritual beings' is mere superstition and belongs in the past, with an ignorant, simple people. Nothing could be further from the truth.
It is from this realm that we are tested, tempted and attacked on occasion by what the apostle Paul calls "principalities, spiritual forces of darkness..."etc. Some call them demons.
They play on our emotions, our pride, our habits, weaknesses and tendencies, namely, the "old flesh". They will use these things to stir up strife, cause bitter arguments, fights, and to tear apart good relationships, all the while driving the unsuspecting further and further from the saving grace and abundant Life Christ came to provide.
We are like mindless pawns on a chessboard...

unless...

we have read, understood, and believed our Bibles, and recognize what's happening.

Don't let those evil ones in the spiritual realm 'play' you. We know what they are up to...
Read 2 Corinthians 5:14. Ponder it closely, and live it.

"If I ascend to heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.
If I take up the wings of the dawn,
If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea,
Even there Your hand will lead me,
And Your right hand will take hold of me." - Psalms 139:8-10 NASB

Hey believer AND unbeliever,
read that closely, " if I ascend to heaven...if I make my bed in Sheol...".
To paraphrase, "if I am on top of the world, or underneath it..." in either case, God is there.
The point?
Listen closely to the Good News:
You CANNOT escape the Presence and reach of God. You CANNOT wreck your life to the point that you have fell off His Radar, that He is unwilling to answer if you'll sincerely call out to Him.

It doesn't matter if all of your bills are paid and you still have plenty of money left over, people respect you, admire you, the 'love of your life' loves you back, etc...
or
if you have made a dumpster fire of your life, broke and begging, if people avoid you like a plague, if you are swimming in regret, etc...
no matter,
He is there. 'Life' is within reach. 'Real Love', not some finnicky, conditional version of infatuation, but 'Real Love' is still offered to you.
Don't imagine, nor let someone else tell you "you've gone too far, you're beyond hope...". You are not.
The police may be pounding on your door, you may be homeless, you may own three homes...no matter; you need Christ, He is there with you, and ready to save you, just as you are.
To anyone who doesn't 'know' Him, this is the great Life giving News.
To the struggling believer, suffering in a callous world, and feeling the sting of bad choices, whether they are yours or someone else's, you have NOT fallen beyond His reach. He has NOT abandoned His Plan for you, neither has He regretted making you His Own, for a single moment.
and He never will...
He Himself is our Blessed Hope.
Rest assured of that.

Hey believers, remember, sometimes it's encouragement we need, not another lecture. Genuine counsel of God comes with enabling grace to comply, not a demand on human will power to perform. His burden is light, His yoke is easy. Still a burden, still a yoke, but by His grace, we can and will bear them.
May His empowering grace be with you all.

10/22/2023

A heads up; hey believers, truth seekers and wounded warriors, do this:
Read, carefully, 2 Corinthians 5:1-10.
Deep, soothing, air clearing Truth there.
We will dig into this soul medicine very soon.
Video teaching coming ...
Don't miss it...

" Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring—not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all."- Romans 4:16

"Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. "- Romans 5:1-2

Lord God, help me to better comprehend this amazing grace, but even more so, to live in it, to the fullest. amen

" And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” And He *said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true.”- Revelation 21:5

These words are faithful and true.

The Eternal Day is approaching; the Day when all sadness will be swallowed up with joyful tears.
'Despair', 'discouragement', 'depression' will be forgotten words.
Joy unspeakable will be the norm.

All things will be made new.

I am so ready for that Day.

"26 And His voice shook the earth then, but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the heaven.” 27 This expression, “Yet once more,” denotes the removing of those things which can be shaken, as of created things, so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe;"-Hebrews 12;26-28

Hey believer, have you ever been in a season in life when you felt like your world was being turned upside down? that the things you thought were fixed and fastened were stripped away, shaken loose, and falling off in pieces?
Probably not often, but perhaps, at some point...
Seasons like these can produce more questions than answers
BUT
even if the answers are few,
we do have THE Answer.
Almost like the moment when you realize the worst part of the storm has passed over, and the sun is returning, you can reflect and inspect, to see what remains in the aftermath, and what has been removed by the storm.
Here's the good news, believer...
no matter how much is strewn, broken or completely blown away,
the Resolve of Christ, His Eternal Presence and Power has kept you, firm, fixed and fastened.
After the 'shaking' is done, we discover what could withstand it, what could NOT be shaken loose...
Christ Himself.
No wonder we learn (if we will sincerely look, read, pray and take the time to seek it out) that it is the very Faithfulness of Christ that maintains our relationship with Him, and not our own best effort or determination.
Thank You, Lord, for being faithful, in spite of my protests and complaints. Thank You, Lord, for withstanding my lack of understanding, my lapses in faith, and my own frailties.
Thank You, Father, for loving us with an indescribable Love, so much greater than anything we can perceive.
Thank You, Abba...
