"26 And His voice shook the earth then, but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the heaven.” 27 This expression, “Yet once more,” denotes the removing of those things which can be shaken, as of created things, so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe;"-Hebrews 12;26-28
Hey believer, have you ever been in a season in life when you felt like your world was being turned upside down? that the things you thought were fixed and fastened were stripped away, shaken loose, and falling off in pieces?
Probably not often, but perhaps, at some point...
Seasons like these can produce more questions than answers
BUT
even if the answers are few,
we do have THE Answer.
Almost like the moment when you realize the worst part of the storm has passed over, and the sun is returning, you can reflect and inspect, to see what remains in the aftermath, and what has been removed by the storm.
Here's the good news, believer...
no matter how much is strewn, broken or completely blown away,
the Resolve of Christ, His Eternal Presence and Power has kept you, firm, fixed and fastened.
After the 'shaking' is done, we discover what could withstand it, what could NOT be shaken loose...
Christ Himself.
No wonder we learn (if we will sincerely look, read, pray and take the time to seek it out) that it is the very Faithfulness of Christ that maintains our relationship with Him, and not our own best effort or determination.
Thank You, Lord, for being faithful, in spite of my protests and complaints. Thank You, Lord, for withstanding my lack of understanding, my lapses in faith, and my own frailties.
Thank You, Father, for loving us with an indescribable Love, so much greater than anything we can perceive.
Thank You, Abba...
