Good Friday reminds us that true strength is found in sacrifice.

Today we stand at the foot of the Cross, where Christ gave everything—holding nothing back out of love for us. It’s a powerful call for all men to step up, to lead with humility, and to live with purpose.

At ManUp South Jersey, we’re committed to forming men who don’t run from the Cross—but embrace it. Men who lead their families, serve their communities, and follow Christ with courage.

This is not the end of the story…Sunday is coming.

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of St. Joseph — a quiet, strong, and faithful man who led not with words, but with action.

St. Joseph was a protector, a provider, and a man who trusted God even when the path wasn’t clear. He reminds us that true masculinity is rooted in humility, courage, and obedience to God’s call.

At ManUp South Jersey, our mission is to help men encounter Christ in a powerful way — so that we can learn our faith, live our faith, and become better husbands, fathers, sons, and leaders. From that encounter, we are sent out as missionary disciples to bring Christ into our families and communities.

St. Joseph lived that mission perfectly.

Today, let’s ask for his intercession — that we may step up, lead our families with faith, and become the men God created us to be.

St. Joseph, pray for us. 🙏

A record-breaking 700 men, representing varied generations and backgrounds, came together in spirited fellowship today for the 7th annual ManUp South Jersey Conference at Paul VI High School in Haddonfield.

“We need joyful heralds of the Gospel,” urged Bishop Joseph Williams in addressing the sons, fathers, brothers, and friends who filled the auditorium.

He told all to “let (themselves) be found by God,” throughout the day; “He is waiting for us, he is looking for us, and all you have to do is say yes.”

In addition to Bishop Williams, the transformative, prayerful, and reflective day included dynamic, engaging speakers such as Bishop Emeritus Dennis Sullivan; national author and speaker Chris Stefanick; local Catholic leader Eddie Morris; Deacon Steve Javie, former NBA referee; national liturgical musician Tom Kendzia; and Deacon Robert Oliver of Saint Joseph Parish, Somers Point.
