When a need arose, Barnabas was willing to go.

When the church in Antioch began growing and people were coming to the Lord, the church in Jerusalem sent Barnabas to see what was happening.

When he arrived, he saw the grace of God. He was glad and encouraged the believers to remain true to the Lord with devoted hearts.

Then Barnabas recognized another need. He went to Tarsus to find Saul and brought him to Antioch to help teach the growing church.

Barnabas didn't just see what God was doing. He was willing to get involved.

We don't always have to wait for a grand calling. Sometimes we simply need to see a need and respond.

You don't have to travel across the world to live out the Great Commission.

Everyone isn't called to uproot their life. But we are all called to give our lives for the Gospel.

Sometimes God is sending you to Uganda. Sometimes He is sending you to Gulfport.

To your workplace. Your kitchen table. The golf course. The gym. The grocery store.

You may never preach to a crowd, but you can share the love of Jesus with the person standing right in front of you.

Look for an opportunity to share the Gospel with someone in your everyday life this week.

The last thing Jesus told His disciples was not to sit still. It was to GO.

After the cross and the empty grave, Jesus gave His followers a mission: Go make disciples. Go tell people about Him. Go teach.

The Great Commission wasn't just for the first disciples. This mission has been handed down to every new generation.

We are called to carry the Gospel to the people who need to hear it.

Where is Jesus calling you to go? Across the globe or in your own backyard?

We can talk about approaching Jesus boldly, but what does that look like in everyday life?

Sometimes it means praying honestly about something we've been afraid to say.

Sometimes it means opening God's Word and listening.

Sometimes it means confessing our sins and repenting.

Sometimes it means bringing Him a burden we've tried to carry ourselves.

And sometimes it simply means coming back to Him again, even when we don't know what to say.

Boldness doesn't mean we are entitled to whatever we want. Our confidence rests in Jesus, our great High Priest—not in our own performance.

Don't allow anything to stop you from approaching Jesus. Not your status. Not your past. Not what society thinks of you.

He is merciful. He is faithful. He welcomes those who come to Him.

What is one step you can take today to draw closer to Jesus?

October is Pastor Appreciation Month, and we want to take a moment to say thank you to Pastor Eric.

We are grateful for your faithful service, your teaching of God’s Word, and the care you give to our church family. Thank you for the time, prayer, and dedication you pour into serving the Lord and His people.

May God continue to strengthen and encourage you as you serve Him.

When Jesus gave His life on the cross, the curtain of the sanctuary was torn in two, from top to bottom.

That curtain marked the boundary to the Most Holy Place. Access to God's holy presence had been restricted.

But when Jesus died, the curtain was torn.

The writer of Hebrews tells us that through the blood of Jesus, we have a new and living way to draw near to God.

We don't approach Him because we have earned the right. We don't come because we have performed well enough.

We approach Jesus because of who He is and because of what He has done.

“Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have boldness to enter the sanctuary through the blood of Jesus…” — Hebrews 10:19 (CSB)

The cross changed everything. Take a moment today to thank Jesus for making a way for us to draw near to God.

We’re thankful for the women of Gulfhaven and the opportunity to gather for a time of fellowship, encouragement, and growing together in faith.

We’re grateful for the friendships God has given us and for the ways He continues to strengthen our church family.
