Just a heads up to anyone interested

Mark your calendars for the Feeding the Gulf Coast - food distribution on March 22, 2025, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the Good Deeds Community Center located at 15101 Madison Street.

We will be giving out the remainder of our in-house stock tomorrow starting at 10:30. Once our supplies are gone they're gone. I do not anticipate getting any new supplies in the near future. But should that change I will post here. We will continue to look for possible places to restock our shelves. If anyone knows of any local food banks in our area please feel free to share your knowledge on this page. Or message me . Is been my great blessing AND Honor to serve our community the last 4 years. Due to circumstances beyond our control the main source of our donations which is the Winn-Dixie in Long Beach is closing their doors. We will continue pick up and distribute food until the doors closed to the store we will distribute food on February the 7th on our regular scheduled day. I'm not sure the exact day the store will be closing or how much donations we will receive we will take it one week at a time. We do not at this time have another source of donations lined up if that changes we will let you know.

Medical issues with Pantry staff ********************
As some of you may already know this but Friday April 12th, I (Heather)will be having surgery on my achilles tendon. That will put me in a cast for 6 weeks and non weight bearing on my left leg. Also to make things a little more complicated. Ms Doris fell and broke her pelvis last Friday. So we're going to be a little short-handed or injured handed for a few weeks. We are in the process of trying to recruit some help. But please be patient with us if we are slower than normal or if we are unable to distribute one week in the next few weeks. We will do our best to ensure that families still get their necessary supplies. Unfortunately the pantry staff is just having a few medical issues. Due to a staff change in the mix-up at feeding America the Community Wide Food Distribution has been postponed until a date in the near future

No special requirements needed to receive Food Distribution. No ID required or proof of income. Name of HOH. Family size ( # of kids & # of seniors.) No other information is needed
