On behalf of Fresh Encounter Woods, I would like to say thank you for coming out and seeing the lights this year! As we turn off the lights one last time this year I can’t help myself but think about all the people that asked me “Is it worth all the time spent to do this?” My answer is Yes, Yes It is, when you see the smiles on everyone’s faces you know that it was not time wasted! When you see the families that have started to make coming to the camps lights a tradition. When people decided to make that their first date. You know that Gods hand is in the whole event. I have seen God work through me in ways I never thought was possible and has led me to many different new things. God gave us the opportunity to do the light walks 5 years ago when we received the camp this was our 5th year doing the lights. The Lord blessed us yet again by allowing us to do the light display this year. We added a bunch of new things this year, and by doing that it took a lot more time to set up. I would like to thank everyone that came out to set up in anyway. Even if it was just coming out to help clean because that is one less task that I have to do. When I add up how many hours the light display took to set up, all the programing for the songs it is well above 240 hours. But when you see everyone walking the trails looking at all the lights taking pictures. You know that the long nights of set up for the event was not a waste of time. This year we had several new people come out to see the lights, that said they would be back. I want to thank God for giving each and everyone the talents that were shown this year at the camp and allowing the light walks to be a success. I would also like to thank the community for their support and also like to take time to thank everyone who came out to help serve. I hope to see you next year! We have already started planning for next year and there will be more lights added!
But all the bright flashing lights and all the time we take setting up and how busy each and everyone of our lives are we all need to stop and always Remember the real reason for the season. It’s not all about the lights, it’s not about the presents. But the true reason for Christmas Is about the birth of Jesus. Gods perfect Son born in to a world full of sin that one day He would be crucified on the cross to die for each and everyone life, so that we could have eternal life. The price has been paid we need to repent and follow Him. One day every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Soon all the lights in the country side will be shut off and stores will go back to normal. Remember what this season is for. Remember the Lord all year long not just during this Christmas season. For the Lamb has come to give us life. He died for us so that we can have eternal life. We must turn to Him and seek His face and His will. Don’t keep Christ Just in Christmas but in every day of the year. Behold the lamb of God has come to take away our sins seek Him this year.

Fresh Encounter Woods would like to invite you and your family out on December 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th, and 21st from 6:30-8:30 to see our spectacular light display. Our display has had a lot added to it since last year come out and see the changes! Bring your family out and walk the trails that are decked out with Christmas lights. The cost is free though we do have a donation box that helps us add more for next year. They even synchronized to the music! Your family can come in the Eagles Nest and get some hot chocolate, coffee, and cookies. Then also get a picture with our big tree. If you have never been to Fresh Encounter Woods come and see what we have to offer for you, your family, Church, or group. Look forward to seeing you there. This Saturday November 8th starting at 8am we will be setting up lights out at Fresh Encounter Woods till we are ready to go home. The help is greatly appreciated if anyone is available. This makes great volunteer hours for NHS, FFA, NTHS, and other groups that may need volunteer hours. Hope to see you there. Anyone can help!
