π¦οΈπͺοΈ The Ottoville 4-H and 4-H Cloverbuds group invited one of our favorite people to give a special weather safety presentation to the groupβLima Chief Meteorologist Conner Prince! π‘βοΈ
What an amazing, informative, and compassionate presentation Conner gave! π He knows all about the history of major national and local storms, including presentations about the Van Wert and St. Marys tornadoes, and even our local 2012 derecho. πͺοΈβ‘ Heβs an expert, heβs compassionate, and he shared great life-saving storm advice based on real-life experiences. β€οΈ
One powerful story he shared was how a theater worker in Van Wert helped save lives by stopping a movie and directing people to take shelter during the 2002 tornado. πββοΈππͺοΈ He also reminded everyone to βput on your shoesβ if a tornado is headed your way. π These simple tips can make a big difference in an emergency!
We appreciate Conner taking the time to visit and share his knowledge with our group. π And of course, we remember that heβs also the one who took the famous winter photo of Immaculate Conception Churchβafter enjoying a meal from Millieβs! βοΈβͺπΈπ½οΈ
Also, great job to Alayna and Kiersten on their presentations! ππ Kiersten even made the tasty treats! πͺπ
ππ Blessings to all of our 4-H and 4-H Cloverbud students and leaders! Thank you for your hard work, enthusiasm, and commitment to learning and serving others. πβ¨
