Immanuel Lutheran Ministries "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3: 16-17

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." We are a family united in Christ, and nourished by the pure, unaltered teachings of the Bible. Through Jesus our Savior we are called God's own children.

The Bible says that David is a man after God’s own heart, and yet he is also capable of deep failure and sin. In worship this summer we will follow David through those moments and see the Lord at work through him. As we walk with David, we also see our own story reflected, and we are led to Jesus Christ, the true and better king.

We are rolling out a summer bible reading plan that corresponds with this sermon series that begins TODAY. Daily readings take us through a section and theme of King David's life.

Readings This Week:
Monday: 1 Samuel 8:1-23
Tuesday: 1 Samuel 9:1-24
Wednesday: I Samuel 9:25-10:27
Thursday: I Samuel 12:1-25
Friday: I Samuel 13:1-15
Saturday: I Samuel 15:1-35
Sunday: I Samuel 16:1-13

June 7 Weekend Sermon Theme: Chosen by Grace, Not Appearance
God chooses and anoints by grace; not outward appearance, but by a heart he creates.

*Scripture Scoops reading plan for children also coordinates with the adult reading plan. Get the whole family reading together!

The Bible says that David is a man after God’s own heart, and yet he is also capable of deep failure and sin. In worship this June-July we will follow David through those moments and see the Lord at work through him. As we walk with David, we also see our own story reflected, and we are led to Jesus Christ, the true and better king.

There are daily scripture readings that go along with this sermon series for both adults and children! Scripture Scoops will be following along with these adult Bible readings and sermon themes so that children and adults will be able to read the same sections of Scripture.

Readings start today and the sermon series begins this weekend!

Lord God, on this Memorial Day we give thanks for those who gave their lives in service to our country. Comfort the families who carry loss, grant peace to those who mourn, and help us never forget the sacrifices made for the freedoms we enjoy. Above all, remind us of the hope and eternal life found in Jesus Christ, our Savior. Amen.

As Immanuel Lutheran School heads into summer break at the end of the week, it was nice to take one more stroll through the halls to see some of the great art our classrooms still have displayed. We will miss the students and pray that all stay connected to Jesus throughout the summer months!

What a blessing to celebrate Youth Sunday at Immanuel! From music to AV, ushering to greeting, our young people ran worship with servant hearts—and they did a fantastic job! Thank you for sharing your gifts and helping lead God’s people today!

As we were reminded again in worship:
“Our ascended Lord's victory shapes every generation.”

A special thank you as well to all who organized, rehearsed, trained, encouraged, and supported our youth behind the scenes. Your time and dedication helped make this a meaningful and faith-filled weekend for our entire church family. God is truly at work through every generation!
