The tornado didn’t just cause physical damage. It also wounded our psyche, our inner being. The plethora of emotions we experience is overwhelming. Connect and find support with others who understand how difficult this is.
Based on continuing interest and need, NAMI Fox Valley has extended our weekly peer support group for adults navigating the emotional impact of the recent tornado and its aftermath. Group meetings are now scheduled through September 23.
After a disaster, it can be easy to let the emotional impact of the trauma take a back seat as one navigates immediate needs. At the same time, taking care of one's mental health in a time of crisis is critically important.
This is an opportunity for those affected by the storm to come together, share experiences, connect with others who understand, and find support.
There is no charge to attend this group and no registration is required. Simply come join us at the Elisha D. Smith Public Library in Menasha on any of the following dates and times in September:
🔹Wednesday, September 2, 6:00-7:30 PM
🔹Wednesday, September 9, 6:00-7:30 PM
🔹Wednesday, September 16, 6:00-7:30 PM
🔹Wednesday, September 23, 6:00-7:30 PM
