The picture of this house in Nepal, standing strong after withstanding a powerful torrent, reminds us of the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:24–27.
Jesus compares those who hear His words and put them into practice to a wise man who built his house on the rock. When the storms came, the rain fell, the rivers rose, and the winds beat against it—but the house stood firm because it had a strong foundation. But Jesus also speaks of those who hear His words and do not put them into practice. They are like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. When the storms came, the house could not withstand them, and it fell.
The storm will come, The waters may rise.The winds may blow. The question is not whether we will face storms, but what our lives are built upon when the storms come.
Build your life on the Rock.
Build your family on the Word.
Build your faith on Jesus.
Because what is built on the Rock may be shaken, but it will not be destroyed.
Jesus, You are the solid rock on which I stand!!

La imagen de esta casa en Nepal, que logró permanecer en pie después de soportar un poderoso torrente de agua, nos recuerda Mateo 7:24–27.
En este pasaje, Jesús compara a aquellos que escuchan Sus palabras y las ponen en práctica con un hombre sabio que edificó su casa sobre la roca, una casa capaz de resistir las tormentas.
En contraste, aquellos que escuchan Sus palabras pero no las ponen en práctica son comparados con un hombre insensato que edificó su casa sobre la arena. Cuando llegaron las tormentas, la casa cayó, y grande fue su destrucción.
La vida traerá tormentas. Los vientos soplarán, las aguas subirán y habrá momentos en los que todo a nuestro alrededor parezca incierto. Pero cuando nuestro fundamento es Jesús, podemos permanecer firmes.
Jesús, Tú eres la Roca sólida sobre la cual estoy firme!
