Sunday was a day full of talent being shared. Alyson lead the opening song “King of Kings” and Tom sang a special prayer song for Father’s Day called “Lead Me.” Then the kids along with some of the VBS leaders blessed the congregation with the songs from VBS. After the service, Pastor Doug did a baptism at the creek. And, finally, we said goodbye to one of our longest members, David Rader.

Romans 8:9-11. Does the Spirit of God live within you? Have you crucified the flesh and taken on the new life of Christ? You cannot walk the Christian life without the Power of God and the Holy Spirit living within you. Stop resisting what God is asking you to do.

The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is alive and at work in every believer today! Come be encouraged, strengthened, and reminded that God’s power lives within us.

We give thanks for all fathers, grandfathers, and spiritual fathers who lead with faith, love, and strength. We look forward to honoring you during worship!

It was the last day of Wonder Junction. It’s been such a great adventure. The kids collected over 300 items for the Isaiah 117 house!
We learned about the life of Jesus. He was born, lived a sinless life, died on the cross, rose alive from the grave and went to heaven. In heaven He lives awaiting the day when He will return and take all the believers back with Him. Have you accepted Christ?

I can’t believe that we wrap up VBS this afternoon! It’s been a great time learning about the life of Jesus.
Last night was Session #3. We learned about sin and the “nuggets” that have brought us to the knowledge that Jesus loves us.
Just been amazed by what the kids already know and what they have learned. Our volunteers have ranged from middle school to adults. Baylee Jo wrote a song that she sang to us. The kids had their lesson, made lanterns, ate chicken nachos, sang, and played games. And, the kids are collecting items for the Isaiah 117 house! Wonder (yee-haw) which group will win the contest?

Thursday brought day #2 of Wonder Junction VBS. We learned about some of Jesus’ miracles. Do you know He healed the sick, calmed the storm, and came back to life after He was crucified!
It’s great to have kids that are above the class age to transition into volunteers!
The kids made banjos and had ham and cheese sliders, chips and cookies. The Gideons made sure everyone got a Tennessee orange Bible. But most of all we shared God’s love.

Wonder Junction VBS is proving to be a fantastic experience! Great turnout of kids and volunteers. Day 1 we learned about Jesus as a child, made cowboy hats, sang, had a lesson about Jesus and visited with Scraps. We had a cowboy snack of Hotdogs, Chips and Cookies.

Our first night of Wonder (yew-haw) Junction was a huge success. If you missed it, we still have Thurs., Fri, and Sat.. Its not to late to sign up.

Sunday morning at Greenwood started out by Carole V. hearing a meow from Mike F.’s truck, with a tiny kitten being enticed out of the frame by Meredith. Maryann cooked us a wonderful breakfast and we got down to worship, with Doug C. leading Roundtable.

Jan and Phil did Children’s Time, they joined the church, and Jan beautifully sang “The God of the Mountain”
Pastor Doug’s message was “Help is on the Way.” Yes it is, but you need to ask for it! Your plea to God is not an interruption; it’s turning your life over to Him.
