The Holy Spirit works in our lives to to affirm and reaffirm life’s truths to us. Truths that become real to us by and through our faith. Faith that grounds us in God and all the good things He gives to us and promises Us! Our greatest promise is that of Heaven someday, knowing to be absent in this earthly body is to be present with the Lord! 2 Corinthians 5:7 teaches us this, that we walk and live by faith. We have to trust the journey, because God is guiding our steps. Ultimately, leading us home to heaven someday!

Have you ever heard someone say to you, “I’ve got your back. I’ve got you covered.” Depending on what we fear in the moment, that can be very reassuring and uplifting to our spirit. This is God to us. 1 John 1:9 tells us, in part, that God is faithful and just toward us. Genesis chapter 1 reminds us that we are His creation, created in His image and after His likeness. You and I are the apple of His eye, and that means that God has our back in all things, and that God has us covered!

Isaiah 43:1 teaches us not only do we belong to God because He redeems us, but it also tells us that God knows our name. On a personal note, today is my birthday…and as I reflect on the goodness of God over my life, I am reminded that today and everyday God knows my name, and He calls to me every moment of every day!

"Thoughts From The Pastor:”

What do you hunger and thirst for? Is it for things of this world, or is it of the things of God? Is it more blessed to give or to receive? As much as we may try to fill voids in our life with money and material possessions, ultimately most of us eventually realize that no matter what we insert in that void we just can't create permanent satisfaction for ourselves, and we realize that it is in Christ that we experience true fulfillment.

One of my favorite hymns in the church is entitled, "I'd Rather Have Jesus." Some of the verses in it says this... ..."I’d rather have Jesus than silver or gold, I'd rather have Jesus than house or lands," then bringing the listener to the understanding of wanting to have Jesus more than any-thing...to be led by Him and to be true to Him. Why? Because only He can satisfy what we hunger and thirst for from within. This is how He created us and wired us to be in how we react and respond. And this should cause us to pause and consider where our heart lies in this life. Do I live a life of giving, or is my focus on taking or receiving?

Perhaps it becomes clearer to us when we fully understand what God's Word means, teaching us to realize not to store up treasures here on earth where moth and rust destroy or thieves break in and steal, and not to be conformed to this world or squeezed into its mold. In every season of life our focus must be on Jesus and Him alone so that we are allowing Him to satisfy us and to bring those things to us that bring real happiness and inward peace. Sometimes it will be a material blessing as our will aligns with His and He grants us the desires of our heart. Other times it will be just having Him and enjoying the blessing of His presence and the Holy Spirit who wants to saturate our life and fill us to the overflow! This is why placing our faith in Him calls us to be Givers and to make a focus on giving to the Lord and increasing His Kingdom. When we seek and pursue Him above everything else in this world it is then that we come to know what true happiness can be and just exactly how our hunger and thirst can be satisfied. This parallels to us receiving financial healing and blessings in our life, when we give in such a way that brings us to realize that we can never ever outgive God!

The application of this realization in our life then lies within us simply living in His presence. Continually in His presence where we canbrely on His promises that He meets our every need! At the end of broken dreams, He is the open door and source of healing, contentment and fulfillment in this life. The apostle John said it like this, "I must decrease and He must increase!" Compared to pursuing things of the world, when we really apply that to our life through the giving of ourselves to Him and Others…and to the giving of our resources, money and otherwise, of the things we have and hold dear…perhaps it is then that we really know fulfillment in this life!

As we are faithful and focus our life on giving, we then receive from God who gives exceedingly more than we can ever think or Imagine! We receive from the God of Plenty who heals us In everyway!

You and I belong to God. We were bought with a price, as God gave His Son in Jesus…and Jesus gave of Himself, becoming the price paid in full that satisfies our sin debt to God the Father. Indeed, you and I have been purchased by God that we are His, and He becomes ours as we receive Jesus in our heart and life! In Isaiah 43:1, God tells us to not fear for He has redeemed us and calls us by name, because we are His!

All thru God’s Word we are filled with a surrounding theme of His character…that God takes care of His children and that He makes ways for you and me even when it seems there is no way! If you are in a place or season right now where you have no answer, know that God is already ahead of you working to make a way and to bring His glory thru the difficulty! It is for us to stay faithful and stay surrendered and position ourselves in faith to please God and allow Him to work. The God of the mountain is still God in the valley and He will make a way for you & me! Gen 22:14,

How do we worship when we gather together? What forms a worship service? Praising God, singing songs, making music, hearing the spoken Word & Message, perhaps even testimonies…all these are great, and biblical. But there is one thing that Jesus mentions first in the Word. In Matthew 21:13 Jesus tells us it is Prayer! It is our greatest and most powerful privilege, that every time we gather in His name we make sure we center all we do around communicating and talking to God!

All around us we fight a battle of spiritual warfare. God’s Word In Ephesians speaks of it and tells us to put on the full armor of God to stand against it, with the promise of Jesus in Matthew that the gates of hell would not prevail against us, His Church. We can be hurt by It and through It If we are not aware to Stand against It and rebuke satan. Theologian A.W. Tozer once said, “If being hurt by the Church causes you to lose faith in God, then your faith was in people, not God.” We must stand and bind Together and realize the fight we are in. By His blood, His Word, and His providence…we always win!

"Thoughts From The Pastor:”

How awesome It will be to someday be perfect in every way and to no longer feel the things of this earthly life that are common to pain, suffering, sorrow and trials! That Is the Believer’s promise from scripture in Revelation that speaks of our reward in Heaven…to know and have the hope of heaven someday! Glorification will be the ultimate and final work of sanctification that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit will do in our life...when our earthly body with mind and soul become "glorified" and perfect in every way just as Christ became when He resurrected from the tomb!

In Colossians 3: 1-4, the apostle Paul hints to the reality that we will someday have the mind of Christ... when we are revealed with Him in glory! In that moment that He glorifies us in body, soul and mind we will be perfect as He is and we will have the mind of Christ to automatically know and understand things then just as He does. Not only will we be physically healed In every way possible, we will realize our full spiritual healing as well! What an awesome realization for us to look forward to someday as we continue to live in the full assurance of hope that God has anchored us to through Christ In this earthly life!

In 1 Corinthians 15: 40-50, the apostle Paul talks about earthly bodies and spiritual / heavenly bodies and concludes in verse 50 that "flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. " This would lead us to believe that in being glorified when we reach heaven someday that we will not be in physical body form but in spiritual form of soul instead. And yet the apostle John tells us in 1 John 3:2 that "now we are children of God and it has not appeared as yet what we shall be. We know that, when He appears we shall be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is!” And this is our celebration as we grow in sanctification, to know that healing will most certainly come for each of Us. It is a matter within God’s will of when you and I will receive it, either in this earthly life or in Heaven to come. Either way, our healing is sure!

When Jesus resurrected, He was perfect in every way and He was in bodily form presenting Himself to the disciples and around 500 people over the next 40 days until He ascended to Heaven to be at the right hand of the Father. As He appeared to the disciples in bodily form (and spirit) after His resurrection, remember that He asked Thomas to touch His hands and side to erase his doubt? John says we will be like Him on that day and Paul reminds us in Philippians 3:20-21 that we will be transformed into His glory…that we will be made perfect! God can and still does heal us in this earthly life according to the plan of His will, and no matter what, whether healing comes In this earthly life or not, one day we will finally be complete in Him!

Whether healing comes in this earthly life, or if it is deferred to heavenly life, what a day that will be when Jesus wipes away every tear from our eyes and that there will be no more death, no more mourning or crying, and no more pain! " What a day that will be, when my Jesus I will see! Because of Christ’s work on the cross, and what He accomplished In the tomb…Healing Is coming!

We assume God’s Will for us is that we prosper and be in abundance, rightfully so as we see in scriptures of Jer 29:11 & John 10:10. And while we live in that promise we must dig deeper to discern God’s Will for our life to enable us to fully answer life questions of “Why?” God doesn’t think the same as we do. He is perfect and divinely holy, and we won’t be until we are glorified in heaven someday. Why was the apostle John exiled and Paul jailed, beaten, and eventually put to death all for the sake of the Gospel? Hmmmm?

The late Billy Graham once said, “When we come to the end of ourselves, we come to the beginning of God.” God who provides for us, makes a way for us, and always has perfect timing! This is our charge from Jesus each day, that we pick up His cross and make it our cross to carry everyday. How is this going for you as you journey with Jesus to the cross? Philipp 4:19, Isaiah 43:19, Ecc 3:11,
