Staff-Parish Relations Committee (SPRC) Meeting:

The Staff-Parish Relations Committee is made up of representatives from the three churches in our parish. They bring the perspectives and concerns of their individual churches to the committee, discuss them together, and work collaboratively in ministry as one parish to serve the Lord’s Church.

As their pastor, I am always grateful for their faithful and dedicated service. Their commitment and support continually encourage and strengthen me in ministry.

The Day Pastor Jenny Volunteered at the Food Shelf:

The mornings and evenings are getting cooler, and the days are getting shorter. It seems like summer just arrived, yet we can already hear the quiet whisper of fall.

Many people came to the Food Shelf today to receive the groceries they needed. They were grateful for the food and support, and we volunteers were grateful for the health, time, and opportunity to serve.

When we stop and look around, we realize that everything is a gift—everything is thankfulness and grace.

Administrative Council Meeting at St. Croix Falls UMC:

After worship, we gathered for our Church Administrative Council meeting. We reviewed the progress of our church remodeling project. Although we are sometimes a little disappointed when unexpected delays occur, we are all excited and looking forward to seeing our church beautifully renewed.

As we move forward, we continue to pray together—for our newly renovated church and for all the contractors and workers who are working hard on the remodeling project. We trust that God is guiding this process and look forward to seeing what God will make possible through it.

Administrative Council Meeting at Atlas UMC:

We began our Administrative Council meeting with a devotion titled “Faithful in Small Things,” based on Luke 16:10:

“Whoever is faithful in very little is faithful also in much; whoever is dishonest in a very little is dishonest also in much.”

Our church may not be large, and we may not have unlimited resources. But God does not ask us to do everything. God asks us to be faithful with what He has placed in our hands.

As we make decisions together, let us continue to ask:
* What is God calling us to do?
* How can our decisions help us serve our neighbors?
*How can we become more faithful disciples of Jesus?

May we keep these questions in our hearts and prayers, remembering that small acts of faithfulness can become great blessings in God’s hands.

May God bless our ministry and our community through us!

A Blessing at the Nursing Home:

It was one of those days when I felt completely exhausted.
Maybe it was the heat, or perhaps it was simply a long day. After leading worship at three churches, I was driving back and found myself struggling to stay awake. I was almost falling asleep at the wheel.

On my way to the nursing home to lead worship, I had about 30 minutes to spare. So, instead of having lunch, I decided to take a short nap in my car in the parking lot.
When I walked into the nursing home, however, something changed.

The moment I saw the residents welcoming me with warm smiles, I felt grateful. Some of them reached out, held my hands, and said, “Thank you for coming.”

In that moment, all my tiredness seemed to disappear.

I led the worship service with joy, and as I prayed, my heart was filled with gratitude:
“Lord, thank You for giving me the opportunity to serve.
What a great blessing it is to be able to share Your love with these precious people.”

Sometimes, I think I am the one going there to serve them. But in the end, they are the ones who bless me, encourage me, and fill my heart with joy.

What a beautiful reminder:
When we offer our time and love to others, God often gives us back far more than we could ever imagine.

What a blessing it is to serve.
What a blessing it is to share the love of Christ.
And what a blessing it is to be welcomed with love.
