The Golden Zebras have invited all local first responders to join them at their next luncheon on Tuesday, September 8th. The church will be providing hamburgers, and the Golden Zebras will handle the sides and fixings as usual. If you know a first responder (or are one!), please grab a friend and be our guest. Just a reminder that tomorrow we are beginning a church-wide exploration of the doctrines and distinctives of our faith. We hope to see you at 9:45am in one of our small group classes and at 11am for worship.

This is the perfect time to invite friends who have been curious about what it means to be Methodist as well as a period of prayerful discernment for those who have long been contemplating church membership.

If this is your first time coming for Sunday school, the church doors open at 9:30am. You are welcome to gather and enjoy coffee and treats in the hospitality area before classes begin. We pray that this will be a time of blessing and deepening for us all!

Today concludes our 21 Days of Prayer for FMC. It is so fitting that after praying for revival, for healthy growth, for deepening spiritual maturity, for a vision for the future, for strengthened connections amongst ourselves, for stronger collaboration with other churches and community groups, that it would all come together on our back to school blessing Sunday. Being in the sanctuary early on Sunday mornings is a cherished holy time for me. Seeing the fruits of so much hard work and generosity from our leaders to create such a beautiful, welcoming environment for students of all ages truly warms my heart and gives me hope for the future. To all of the churches in Grandview celebrating the next generation today, as well as the educators who pour into them, we join our voices with yours as we lift them in praise to the One who created us for a good purpose. Lord, bless our children, and lead them, guide them, and protect them all their lives! 💜, Pastor Sharon
