Coming up this week: Elisha the Prophet (2 Kings 2; 4-5)

After the kingdom was divided. evil kings ruled in the Northern Kingdom of Israel. We've learned how Jeroboam, Nadab, Baasha, and Ahab led the people to worship idols. But God remained faithful to His people and sent prophets to urge them to turn away from their sin. This week, we will learn about the prophet Elisha, whom God called to speak His words and perform miracles.

Join us this week as we continue our journey through the Bible.

Coming up this week: Elijah Confronted Ahab (1 Kings 18-19)

The kingdom of God's people was divided in two. The Northern Kingdom was called Israel, and the Southern Kingdom was called Judah. Last week, we learned that the kings of Israel did evil in God's sight and led God's people to worship idols. Through it all, God never left His people. In fact, God sent prophets to remind His people what was true and to tell them to turn away from sin. This week, we will see how God answered the prophet Elijah's prayers and proved that He alone is the one true God.

Coming up this week: Israel's Evil Kings (1 Kings 14-15; 2 Chronicles 12-13)

King Solomon was the last king before the kingdom of God's people was divided. Solomon began following the Lord faithfully, but he eventually allowed his heart to worship idols. After Solomon died, his son, Rehoboam, became king. Last week, we learned that Rehoboam's foolish sin divided the kingdom. This week, we will learn about Israel's next three kings and how ISRAEL'S KINGS DID EVIL IN GOD'S SIGHT AND WORSHIPED IDOLS.

Join us this week as we continue our journey through the Bible.
