Coming up this week: Wisdom of God's People (Proverbs 1, 3-4)

Solomon was the wisest earthly king to ever live. His wisdom led him to build a temple for God to dwell in and for the people to worship God. Many heard how wise Solomon was, leading the queen of Sheba to visit him and discover that Solomon's kingdom was blessed by God. We also learned that Solomon wrote the book of Ecclesiastes. This week, we will learn about another book Solomon and other wise people wrote: Proverbs.

Coming up this week: The Queen of Sheba Visited Solomon (1 Kings 10)

God gave Solomon great wisdom and made him king over His people. Solomon obeyed God and led the Israelites in building the temple, a place where God would dwell with His people and where they could worship Him. While Solomon was wise, he also learned that being wise isn't thinking you know everything. To be wise, we must fear God and follow Him. Solomon wrote the book of Ecclesiastes to help people know that to be truly wise and live a life of purpose, they must trust in God and obey Him. This week, we will learn how the queen of Sheba heard about Solomon's fame and came to visit Him.

Coming up this week: Solomon Thought About Life (Ecclesiastes 1)

Last week we learned how God gave Solomon WISDOM, and he built a temple for God. The temple was a place for the Israelites to worship God, and it also served as a reminder of God's presence and His promise to build a forever kingdom through David's family. This week, we will learn how Solomon wrote a book called Ecclesiastes and shared how our lives have no meaning apart from God.

We will be selling SNACKS on Wednesday nights from 5:45 to 6:15. YAY!!! We have candy, chips, and sodas priced between $1.00 and $2.00. 🍫

This is not intended to replace your dinner, but a fun addition to our Wednesday Night activities. Please still bring your $3.00 for dinner if you plan to eat.

Coming up this week: Solomon Built the Temple (1 Kings 6-8)

Last week, we learned that Solomon was young and didn't have experience. When God appeared to Solomon in a dream and told Solomon to ask for anything, Solomon asked for WISDOM to lead God's people. God gave Solomon wisdom, and Solomon became the wisest earthly king to ever live. This week, we will learn how Solomon built a temple for the Lord because he remembered God's promise to allow David's son to build it.

Join us this week as we continue our journey through the Bible.
