Coming up this week: Saul Disobeyed God (1 Samuel 14-15)

Saul became the first king of Israel when the people rejected God as their King. Samuel told the people they had sinned, but he also reminded them that God would not leave His people. God was with Saul and helped Saul fight Israel's enemies. Last week, we learned that Saul was a great warrior but chose to disobey God. Today, we will see how GOD REJECTED SAUL AS KING BECAUSE HE DISOBEYED GOD'S COMMANDS.

Coming up this week: Saul Rescued Israel (1 Samuel 11-13)

Samuel was the last judge to lead Israel. Samuel was also a prophet. During most of Samuel's leadership, Israel did not have a king. However, God's people saw how all the nations around them had kings. They wanted a king to rule over them, too. So, the people chose Saul to be king. Last week, we learned that when the people chose Saul, they rejected God as their king. This week, we will see how Saul led the Israelites to victory over their enemies, the Ammonites and Philistines. But we'll also see that Saul disobeyed God.

Join us this week as we continue our journey through the Bible.

Coming up this week: The Israelites Wanted a King (1 Samuel 8-10)

The Israelites rejected God as King and chose Saul to be their king. When we sin, we also reject God's rule in our lives as King. Jesus, the King of kings, died for our sins and rose again so we could be forgiven.
